The quality of food on the menu is nothing like what I remember from when I used to frequent Union Kitchen.
An overthought menu seemed to muddle flavors into what tasted like twists on familiar favorites, made unique not by a concern for flavor, but just to be different. The result from my perspective is, for example, a great Mac and cheese (except for some reason they inexplicably left the topping off on the first delivery to the table), and a way to somehow inexplicably make mashed potatoes inedible.
The execution was poor as well, with the menu featuring I grossly overcooked steak accompanied by the aforementioned incomplete presentation of the side dish.
This accompanied an additional entree that consisted of a thin, dry chicken patty haphazardly thrown on a bun in such a way that when the sandwich was cut in half there wasn't any chicken on one side.
And the salmon sucked.

Their brunch is awesome. The waffle is my every weekend choice. It two waffles in one plate with a great texture and a delicious house whipped cream plus banana and strawberries. Their garden omelet is so good too. They use a specific type of coffee which is so tasty. I’m officially a fan!

The menu is varied with lots of choices. Great prices on the lunch specials. Nice atmosphere and comfortable seating. Food is very good generally, but can be inconsistent (my wife’s chicken breast was overcooked and dry, mine from a different menu item was perfectly cooked). We like coming here and should come in more often.

We walked into Union Kitchen on Ella 15 minutes before closing. (I know bad form) We both had a long day and were starving…we were greeted with a smile from the bartender Drew, who by the way never once look annoyed or impatient. No steps of service were skipped and the food quality was on point and delicious as usual. Union Kitchen was our oasis in desert this evening. We are so thankful they served us so close to closing and did it to their usual high standard. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

There were some menu changes since the last time we went, but the food was still very good and the service as well. The manager was very kind and checked on us a couple of times. We were celebrating a birthday and we all enjoyed our visit.

Been here once. I recall the food and service were fine.
My only recommendation here is please advocate to your landlord to add electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in the parking lot. It'll potentially bring you more customers and increase revenue.
You already seem to attract them!
Consider contacting local Houston company Pangea Charging to learn more and have EV charging stations installed in the parking lot.

Not only is this the best meatloaf I've ever had, but they didn't skimp on the portions either. 10/10 I enjoyed this meal so much. Came with crispy thin fried onions, mushroom gravy & mashed potatoes underneath. All were absolutely delicious additions. The vegetables were cooked to perfection & the goat cheese appetizer was perfect too. Nice people running the restaurant as well. I consider myself hard to please but they get an A+ from me.

The meatloaf was memorable. Can’t wait to go again. The servers great. 1st time I went we had Philip and the second time Mandy served us and they both were excellent. Cajun chicken linguine was excellent also.

Blackened Salmon Pasta lunch special complete with salad, garlic bread and beverage, $10.99. Tasted as good as any others' $30 version of the same, that doesn't also come with soup/salad and bev. What more is there to say?
