Got disappointed at the incredibly higher prices on the proteins and the mandatory 22% gratuity. The food is good, but there are many other places in Houston equally good or better where you can dine at half of the price.
Honestly it was good but not fantastic, especially considering the price of everything. The sashimi and rice were delicious, but the rest of the food was just ok. Would recommend trying it out as a date night if you haven't been before
I was so looking forward to dining at T Rex after making the reservation several weeks ago. The atmosphere was great, although ambient lighting is so dim that the waiter brings everyone a small light so that we can see the menu/check. A little annoying but okay. The food just wasn’t that great - ratatouille was so salty that one of my friends wouldn’t finish her first one. Tuna was the best dish we had - nice sauce and fresh fish. The red snapper was cooked nicely but bland....
