I’ve ordered cơm tấm here a few times before, but this time was very disappointing. I paid an extra $2 for the Korean beef ribs, and what came out was just one small piece of meat with two bones — and the meat had already fallen off! I pointed it out to the waitress, but instead of trying to make things right, she brushed me off. Honestly, that kind of stingy service isn’t acceptable. I won’t be coming back.

I returned for the 3rd time before submitting my online review. Both times, I ordered caramel fish in clay pot and combination stir fried noodles. The food was very salty. But what bothered me the most was those young waitresses were just sitting there and didn't even greet and walk us to the table. And when we flagged one of them for additional pitcher of water and small portion of rice, she literally ignored us. The place was not that busy. I ended up asking the Spanish girl. Consider train your staffs again. There are many choices and options in Houston. It will be my last time to take my family there.

WHITE FUZZY MOLD on veggie. Brought it to attention to one of the staff, the lady at the counter argued it was “just onion” while picking it off of the veggie to show it to me. It has a white fuzz, so most definitely a sign of some sort of mold growth. They then charged full price for said dish. I kindly asked them to take some amount off the bill(because I did eat the some noodles and meat on the left side of the plate and I would pay for that) even though other restaurants would just take it off a bill completely should a big issue like this happen. Took them a bit to come to a conclusion to take off $4.50 after they said they’d take $5 off. I decided to let it go as I was in a hurry to go somewhere else and just paid for whatever amount they decided on, while still gave them 20% tip to not penalize the server for it.
At this point, I don’t think they realize mold could be harmful or they simply chose profit margin over health and cleanliness.
Regardless, I will not come back to this restaurant.

ROACHES
I ate here with my wife and baby. First, we noticed that the food was bland. Then, we noticed that despite the place not being busy, the floor was sticky and there was food on the floor beneath our table. Lastly, we saw the German cockroach poop displayed on the wall inside a framed picture just above our table—the black and white one of the Vietnamese woman in the ao dai and hat—followed by three German cockroaches. We complained and left.
I can only hope the roaches don’t come home with us.

Absolutely Delicious! Got the combo for 2 and it can feed 3 people for $36, and even with the exchange rate it's a bargain. Looking forward to trying the rice dishes next time!
