Whenever I'm craving com tam this is my usual spot. They are fairly priced and the com tam is good. I came in today and placed an to go order, which I was told would be a 15-minute wait. 30 minutes later I still don't have my food. When I walked up to the counter and asked how much longer, I was told that my last order is being made and should be done soon. 10 minutes later I still didn't have the last dish I ordered. Yet again I asked about my food and was informed that my order is being made right now. I told the worker you told me that 10 minutes ago and that dish does not take that long to make, so go ahead and cancel that last dish since it's taking too long. The worker went into the back to check up on the dish and told me it would be just one more minute. I got the last dish shortly afterwards, they apologized, and I left peacefully. By the way, as I was sitting there waiting I saw that exact dish leave the kitchen twice for the dine in customers.
I don't appreciate being put on the back burner to the dine-in customers and lied to. There was literally a table that showed up AFTER I placed my order, they ordered, ate, paid, and left all before I got my to-go food. A to-go order shouldn't have a wait time of 45 minutes. There are many other com tam places on Bellaire that I can give my money to (which I will do moving forward.) What a waste of my time.
