This place is as great as it gets. You must have chef Sky as your server, this one of the greatest experiences you could possibly have in

Great time at Tins. Good service and great food. Add a generous supply of sake to that and you got a great formula. As a non traditional sushi place, it lives up to its name.

Very intimate dining experience to say the least! It actually took some time to even find this hidden gem. TINS completely exceeded my expectations from the ambiance to the amazing food. The omakase provides 14 courses with each bite better than the last! Each bite of fish was just so fresh and flavorful. The chefs really come up with the most unique and delicious sauces for each dish. The service is also impeccable. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this spot. The food was out of this world, and the drinks just kept coming. I can't wait to give them another try in the future!

The food is good, but a little underwhelming. Rather then focus on his culinary skills, the chef and his assistant focus on pyrotechnics, meaning smoky dishes, fog balls which is a trade of cheap and tacky sushi places. Their omacase is a combination of the typical sushi dishes, there is nothing special about any the sauces. It would also be nice to see alcohol pairing. The place is dead, feels cheap, maybe add a lounge, live music, a few more people would be nice to see. Otherwise there is not much to do but have an awkward discussion with the chef and his helper.Chef's skills are not enough to sell an exclusive dining experience. There is also this bizarre concept that it is not sushi but fun?!Finally, the dessert, a piece of mochi ice cream with some H-E-B whipped dairy topping. Then you are awkwardly told "that's it" and you need to leave.

I really enjoyed the Omakase course at TINS. My husband and I love every dishes that was offered to us. Mathew and Adam were great at what they do and we truly enjoy the experience and the company. The ambience is very cozy. And last but not least, it's unlimited sake! The restaurant only takes reservations. There's limited seat for each session. You'll be asked to take a seat when you come in. When the chef is ready, you'll be invited to the bar. This is a definitely a must try for sushi lover. Be prepared to spend a lot of money.

F**king amazing. I messed up my dates to another sushi place that we all know in Houston. Which led me to book here. And sweet little 8lbs 5oz baby Jesus is was amazing. My wife doesn't like raw fish, she ate every damn course and it changed the whole direction of her life. Our marriage is better because of this meal.

This is not sushi, and we loved it! Houston is fortunate to have tons of sushi options (and more specifically, options for omakase). Any respectable restaurant has access to good quality fish. What makes a place stand out to me is, what do you do with this already good/great tasting fish? Each piece of fish was topped or paired with complimentary textures/flavors, making each bite memorable. We agreed that there wasn't a course that we did not enjoy. Matt and Chef Sky gave us a unique experience, in a fun laid back environment. Both were fun to chat with, and while listening a fun playlist of music. We dined during the 5pm seating, so unfortunately no karaoke for our session. I'm generally into cocktails, but the all you can drink sake was totally fine by me. Overall a super fun experience, which I would highly recommend for a fun date night, and/or group outing.

This place is one of my favorites for omakase. I have tried Neo, Hidden Omakase and the sister one. This one beats them by far the ambiance and friendliness is awesome! And they are a new place so they take extra consideration into every bite!

Great and welcoming staff. It was an intimate yet fun dinner, and the food blew my mind. I can still taste, smell, and feel every dish! This was our first omakase experience and i fear that it has set our standards too high now. Unforgettable dinner experience. Would recommend!

We came here for Valentine's dinner, and it was my first time, and we enjoy it! The food is very fresh and delicious, great service! I will definitely introduce Tins to my friends.

This was my first omakase experience and it was so great! Chef Sky was really funny and never turned us down when we asked to take a shot of sake all together. Very high quality fish and ingredients. The sauces and toppings were expertly paired with each dish--I couldn't stop saying "wow this is so good". They're a new spot in Houston and I would highly recommend checking them out!

The guys at TINS are wonderful! We had a very memorable dining experience. It was like going to a friend's house for a fantastic meal. We overstayed our welcome but they were the most gracious hosts ?
