Valet parking p IS the worst.
Almost every single car has issues w them.
8 min of waiting behind other two cars in line...
They said cash or move ur car!
On a rainy Sunday while the whole parking lot was vacant, they demanded cash.

Parking: Worst parking group
They push to away from this restaurant

Had a contract for a birthday party, these two host were so rude and did not comprehend that our contract was for the private room and it was worth more than $150 per person for 6pm Sunday night 12/7/2024

I had the pleasure of dining at Toca Madera not once, but twice this week—first for a business dinner and then again for my birthday, and both experiences were exceptional. The atmosphere is vibrant and upscale, with a DJ and live performers that set the perfect tone for the evening. The food and drinks were absolutely DELICIOUS both times, and the service was outstanding. Our servers were friendly, attentive, and truly made both nights feel special. They went above and beyond to ensure my birthday celebration was unforgettable. I highly recommend Toca Madera to friends, family, and coworkers and I will most definitely be coming back. Special thanks to Jacob Martinez for his top-notch service both nights :)

Interesting experience, my husband took me here for my birthday but what I expected to reality did not align. The food was good but very small portions for high prices and the vibe is like a club. The music was very loud that it was hard to have a conversation and actually hear the person or even the waitress speaking.

2 alcoholic drinks, 1 appetizer, 2 steak entrees with 2 enhancements and 1 side was a total of $340. The steak was salty but it wasn’t too bad, but the Truffle Mac & Cheese needs more flavor. Definitely a pricey dinner. There is a 20% service change added to all bills. After tip your looking at $400+ as your bill. Can you only imagine adding in desert what your total will be.

Keep in mind that if you are valeting, it’s $60 for outside but quicker to get your vehicle if not $10 to be parked in the garage and apparently it can take 10-30 mins to get your vehicle. Valet is at the back of the restaurant, so you will have to walk around to get to the entrance of the restaurant.

Overall, I’m glad we got to experience Toca Madera but we will not be back. Too pricey for our taste and the staff were either grouped together having conversations and/or on their phones or in a rush to get to their table or somewhere that they didn’t even smile or greet guests.

Atmosphere was great. Food and service were amazing. My wife had the branzino fish and I had the top cap 8 oz steak and they did not disappoint. Also recommend the truffle Mac and cheese. A little pricey but definitely worth it if you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion and splurge a little. Will definitely be back.

Tried calling them 10 times today and they didn’t pickup the phone even during open hours. I wanted to know about their options for a guest who was vegetarian. Very unprofessional. Had to cancel and book myself elsewhere as I couldn’t take a risk for a guest not to have anything to eat.

Bad service, very high prices and average food only because of the place and the
Idiom because much better restaurants in Houston for better prices and apart so that they know they charge tips
Mandatory in everything so hold on 😂
They charge for bad service

The place is undoubtedly a spectacle, simply something extraordinary, the prices are definitely acceptable for the type of restaurant, but if you are going to pay so much money to spend an incredible night, don't give RAW FOOD LIKE MY CHICKEN WHICH WAS DISGUSTING. 🤮 Totally raw, then they sat us at the worst table and the floor couldn't have been more delicious. In short, I won't return and I don't recommend it. I just
Bring the taste of taking a good photo

Last night, my friends and I had a wonderful time celebrating a birthday dinner at Toca Madera. The ambiance was absolutely stunning, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was memorable.

As raw fish lovers, we were excited to indulge in the sashimi yellowtail hamachi, The quality of the fish was superb—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. However, we were disappointed to learn that chopsticks are no longer available at the restaurant due to theft issues. While we understand the reasoning, it did take away from the experience of enjoying such high-quality sushi and sashimi the traditional way. Eating delicate raw fish with a fork just doesn’t feel right.

Houston, let’s do better! A place as high-end as Toca Madera deserves respect, and stealing is unacceptable. That said, I strongly encourage the restaurant to bring back chopsticks—perhaps as single-use or with a deposit system—so guests can fully enjoy the dining experience as intended.

Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and we’ll definitely return for the amazing food and stellar service. I hope by then, chopsticks will be back!

2/5 stars purely based on the food.

Also, why on earth would you build a high end restaurant in Houston under a gym and then put the valet infront of the gym where you have to walk all the way around the building to get inside of Toca. Extremely poor planning. We had to walk in the rain all the around the building to and from valet.

This place was very nice and the staff was lovely. The food was extremely underwhelming.

If you’re looking for the same experience as you do in Vegas, GO ON TUESDAYS. Be prepared tho, the ambiance and food are still no where near the same.

Tuesday is the only day they have the fire dancer performers. They had a DJ and live guitarist when we went and they were great.

Staff and waiter were super nice. It did take about 10 minutes for anyone to greet us or bring us water or their chips. Which for fine dinning seems too long. We only order appetizers because I wasn’t about to spend $200+ for more average food and drinks.

We got the
- Wonton Wagyu tacos 2/5
- short rib tostadas 2/5

- calamari 1/5

Man when I tell you I was extremely underwhelmed by the food. We came for our anniversary because we have been to the one in Vegas and it’s probably our favorite restaurant ever. However, the food here wasn’t even close.

Presentation was nice but the food was room temperature, non flavorful and low quality. I’ve had better calamari at pizza joints.
Not what I expect from a high end restaurant with this kind of price per person. Just two drinks and apps were $174. With tip over $200(always tip 20%).

Drinks were also equally underwhelming and for a place that boasts “Mexican” inspired, the tequila selection was disappointing.

Overall, expect to pay a lot for a very mid dining experience but a great ambiance and vibe. There’s much better places for fine dinning in Houston.

The apps were great! Awesome ceviche blanco and great truffle quesadillas, for entre (ribeye was on point) and magaritas were good but as many have said the music is too loud. Great music (my wife loved it) just bring it down a bit.
