This restaurant is all about its atmosphere. It features. a beautiful dining room with tables widely spaced and, on the night we were there, a pianist. The wine list is good and high priced, but not absurdly so, consistent with the overall vibe. The real problem here is the food which, while good, falls somewhat short of the other elements. If an elegant atmosphere is your thing, then by all means eat here; but if you are looking for creative and delicious cooking, you should probably go elsewhere.
Beautiful restaurant but it was not up to par for Tony's. Our lady server was extremely busy with multiple big tables this service was slow. Took a while to get menu. Had to ask for bread few times and slow to deliver. Also waited long to order. One of the order was not correct. Foods were good. Looking forward to our chocolate soufflé and unfortunately it tasted sour. Overall was not as good as it should be. Thus value was not good!
The food, the service, the atmosphere..
Always over the top! Perfect restaurant for a celebration, date night or a nice dinner.

Perhaps the worst Asparagus soup ever served- too salty and inedible- the quality at Tony's is F minus and new owners should take note-
The service was outstanding. We had a few issues with the food: the pasta course was very bland. All you tasted was the sausage. It desperately needed salt in the cooking process. Some of the fish dishes had the same issue, under seasoned across the board. However, the Dover and the filet was fantastic! The bread service was a highlight. They had party favors and champagne to ring in the New Year. All in all, it was a lovely evening but with $200 a head, the food was too underwhelming.
Horrible service, I haven't experienced such terrible service in a long time. Nothing about celebrating my birthday at Tony's was good. I enjoyed my friends and we made the most of the dinner but food was okay, the service was absolutely terrible! Please do better Tony's

I recently went into Tonys for a celebration and it feels as if something has changed. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and it felt like the staff was genuinely wanting to make my night special. I felt like royalty. If you haven't been there to eat recently you should go back. Adding them to the top of my list for restaurants.

We attended a 50th anniversary party here. It was held in their private room. The staff was amazing. They served tenderloin that was tender and SO GOOD! All the food on the buffet was absolutely mouth watering delicious!

Once again Tony's doesn't disappoint. Party of four at a table in the bar on Saturday night. We could actually have a conversation and see the UT / Georgia game on TV while enjoying our cocktails and wine and great salads, pasta, branzino, duck and veal chop. Oddly enough the dessert soufflés were the low point - something was “off”. Piano and singer were a fun throwback in time. Expensive but not more so than most restaurants these days that are not nearly as good.
I'd always thought Tony's was some dark, old-school steak house. Not sure why? But I went for the first time a year ago with a regular, and was so impressed that I wanted to go back. The overall experience is great--it has the right table spacing, noise level and the staff was very attentive. They did mess up our bill--first not charging us enough, then over-charging us, but it was all sorted and they were very apologetic. The foie gras on the tasting menu was life-changing! But the silken potatoes, which come out of a siphon and were amazing last time, were super runny and inedible without a spoon. But the rest of our food was amazing. I also enjoyed that all of the patrons respected the restaurant's dress code. It was a very good fine dining experience.
Tony's delivered on just about every level from delicious burrata app, fantastic filets Tony's Way, great wine selection and amazing service by about 5-6 staff. The only downside was our $48 souffle was too expensive and not very good - too eggy! We didn't see a menu and the waiter didn't give us the cost upfront. He ran thru about 20 flavors and we went with the chocolate but despite its mesmerizing presentation, the taste was less than good. Oh well - everything else made up for it and would definitely return!
Tony's once again showed us why they are the BEST restaurant in Houston. The level of service, the divine food and the ambience can't be beat! Plus the value you get for the prices paid was incredible. Everyone should try & experience a meal at Tony's. You won't regret it!
