Terrible customer service. The people who serve are always angry with women, and with men they are very friendly. It's even scary to ask them why they almost scold you with the answer. Please take action on the matter.

The food is really delicious. The staff seemed really serious, not really rude but not polite. I'm bubbly and I prefer that service or some type of engagement I guess. Food is really good, the men's restroom was really dirty, we asked them to clean it ASAP for customers when we were leaving.
Vegetarian options: Maybe salad as an option
Dietary restrictions: Ingredients are labeled, did not notice any dietary labels
Parking: Parking lot surrounding since it's located somewhat in plaza

Parking: Parking is a bit hard to get just because it is dirt parking. So when it rains, it gets so dirty. But my wife and I were talking to the owner. He said he bought another lot, so within a month or two. The new location is going to be finished. So parking is going to be much better. So get ready for the new location coming soon. ????

La Milpa Tortilleria keeps it real and proudly embraces its hole-in-the-wall vibe. The barbacoa and carnitas are some of the best in East Houston, served with fresh, warm tortillas that bring everything together. Don’t miss the limonada agua fresca—it’s the perfect refreshment alongside these bold, authentic flavors. They don’t do frills here; just serious, down-to-earth Latin food that fuels the hard-working locals every day.

We came here on a Sunday around 11:30am and it was crazy busy. They have one side for to go orders and the other side for dine in. We waited about 10mins to be seated. The food tasted very delicious it didn’t disappoint, the flour and corn tortillas are made in there and you can see them making it. Parking can be a hassle since it’s small and crowded but it’s worth it in my opinion. We would definitely come back
