I have been going to Tout Suite since I moved to Houston eight years ago. I've loved it, but I am becoming more and more disappointed in their service. (The food is exceptional... if you ever get it.)My friend and I went to Tout Suite for brunch on Sunday, April 21. We ordered our food and sat down. It was quite slow for a brunch. After 50 minutes of waiting, I went back to the register to see when our food would be ready as we needed to leave for an event. I was told the kitchen was not receiving orders due to a technical error. Which is fine, so I asked for a refund as we did need to get going. After multiple attempts on all the registers, I was not given a refund.I spoke with someone, who said she would call me the next day to refund me and my friend. I generally do not leave a bad review; however, I never received a phone call or a refund. I've tried calling and emailing multiple times and have never heard from anyone. This is a solvable issue that has been ignored, was dealt with poorly. I never received my food nor my money back.

Nice and calm place for working or studying with different kinds of bakeries and coffee choices

I started going to Tout Suite almost a decade ago and it was the coolest spot in town. Affordable, killer staff, and amazing vibes— now it’s just sterile, full of mostly careless staff, and the most disappointing thing… you have to pay for the WiFi in two hour increments. I was buying something anyway, so it didn’t matter, but learning it wasn’t free anymore was crazy. It used to be such a community center and a gathering place, now it’s just like any other overpriced coffee shop in a gentrified area operated by people helping create a classist narrative and catering to the rich folks. Gross.

The food is good and the coffee is great but the service is kind of meh for what it costs. When you do get the order, it's not like the staff is unfriendly or anything... But sometimes you're just waiting to order and people are standing around and there's only one ever one person on the register and there's no reason to be standing in line for 10 minutes with three more registers. What's worse is the people work there are all oblivious to it.

I used to love this place. I'm not sure what's going on with the kitchen or management but the quality of the food and service has fallen off. It took 45 mins to receive a grilled cheese sandwich and veggie wrap. Neither was worth the wait and we ended up sending the wrap back. I hope management sees this feedback and makes changes, otherwise, I don't see how they can compete in the long run.

There is a queue system but the person taking the order did not bother to check if it was being followed and took orders for anyone who would come to the counter. Ordered black coffee which tasted weird (had some funny flavor to it). I haven’t seen a cappuccino take more than 5-7 even in the most busiest cafe. Mine took 15 minutes.

Loved this place from the time I walked in the door. Fantastic large space, plenty of seating and courteous service. The coffee was great, the mocha latte was just like I like it. Not too sweet but flavorful and non pun.

Update April 2024:I've been twice in the last year and have been disappointed by the quality both times. Both eating in and taking out have been horrible experiences. This place was clearly understaffed with 1 person working the register and coffee. I witnessed people walk up to the counter confused if they missed hearing their name - it just wasn't ready yet. The food used to be great, but my last 2 orders have been horrible. Fries taste day old, the chicken sandwich is barely passable. Dry, in seasoned, lazily fried chicken. Even the ketchup is unbalanced and not nearly as good as it used to be. You cannot charge $20 for this.2022:Dishes are made from scratch and presented well. Juices are great, but maybe not worth $7 a bottle (friday $5 flights are great). Deserts and pastries are better than most of what I've had in America. I personally don't like their coffee, but their espresso is ok. Maybe they should explore different blends. Their wifi is better now and tables are bountiful between two levels in their industrial chic atmosphere. Music matches well. Service is pretty good and bathrooms are gender nuetral and generally kept clean. For how busy it can get, they are very consistent.

Never returning to this place only because of the service worker Alfredo. He was disgusting and had an awful attitude. Food was great but he was just genuinely unpleasant to be around.
