I cannot recommend Trattoria Sofia enough! I had booked my wedding rehearsal dinner here for around 25 guests. To my surprise (and own mistake) I booked it for one day later than I had meant to. When our group showed up a day early, the manager Beau and the rest of the staff was able to organize our party within 10 minutes and had us seated at a beautiful table. The food was DELICIOUS, the restaurant itself was gorgeous, and it was well worth the price. I cannot thank Trattoria Sofia enough for saving our day and for their amazing service.

Overall excellent. Enjoyed the bruschetta, salads, branzino, bucatini, and linguini di mare. The strictly valet in an open parking lot seems like a frivolous way to make an additional $6. The service was disappointing. Main waiter was reasonable but we had servers interrupting conversation frequently, with one grabbing my fork and plate prior to asking if I was finished with my plate. I certainly was finished with it after she touched it. Overall great food, don't expect service to match the food or the price.

I will start saying that this restaurant is absolutely cozy, very good for a romantic date. I liked the fact they have valet and all the staff is very welcoming but also knowledgeable, our waiter was amazing, he know so much about the dishes, the wines, the Italian cuisine and culture, this made the experience delightful. Service was spectacular no doubt. The food was hit and miss, the appetizers and the desserts delicious but the main meal not really, he recommended the signature dish of the restaurant, and it was honestly very bland, it literally tasted like pasta water, the cream and the pasta tasted like the water you cook the pasta in, it was very disappointing but I decided not to let this ruin my dinner. The wine he recommended was absolutely delicious, in general everything was delicious but the main meal. The red is cute and very "Italy" like, it really takes you there.

The waitress, staff, and manager were extremely kind and accommodating. The food was the best - my dad who is half Sicilian said it was the best veal he’s ever had. I absolutely love this restaurant.

First time, and it did not disappoint food and service wise. The acoustics don't do anything for the loud chatter - at 2:00 in the afternoon - from a table full of women. Killed the ambiance.Parking: Valet us $6.00 to walk a few feet from cat to entrance. That's okay when it's very busy but not at a slow time of the day.

Priscilla, Eduardo and Brooke were great. They were very attentive and very personable bartenders. The food came out fast and hot, and the cocktails were delish. I recommend the cacio e pepe added shrimp. They also make a perfect last word.

I seldom write food reviews and seldom find a place when traveling that I love enough to revisit more than once, but Trattoria Sofia is just that. The food, the service, and the ambiance of the restaurant are so so amazing. I will not return to Houston without visiting Trattoria Sofia now. This is my second time visiting this restaurant and both experiences have been absolutely fantastic. Doug D. was our server this time and he was absolutely wonderful at being patient, checking in on us, answering our questions, and providing honest suggestions. It is on the pricier side of Italian restaurants, but I believe it is worth it. The Ricotta Di Pecora is to die for! I only have 2 complaints about this restaurant that have been maintained both times I’ve visit at dinner time… The parking is valet only and you’re hard pressed to find parking elsewhere. I understand this is a Houston thing but it’s kind of an annoyance being that it is the only parking option. The second thing which I think is out of the restaurant’s control but is something to note is that it is very loud. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and the lighting is fabulous for a fancy dinner or date night, but it is so hard to hear the person you’re sitting across from. Regardless, if you live in or are visiting Houston this restaurant is an absolute must to go to. The staff from the hostess to the managers and even to the kitchen staff were are ALL fantastic and super helpful. I appreciate that there are people designated to refilling water to assist the waiters inbetween guests. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience and we will return soon!
