Another diner drive in and dives fail. So here we go... Austin and Jacob our bartenders right off the bat are an amazing team full of life. Austin in fact made sure once we were seated at our table to stop by to check on us at least 3 times unlike the manager on duty who never came around we will not mention his name in this thread. Our waiter Luis was attentive and very polite. The food was not of the highest quality you would expect from a place like this. The mini crab rolls should have been described as a mini roll with a hint of lobster somewhere in the mini roll. The Louisiana fried chicken was not anything like Louisiana fried chicken in factvit ranks right up there with mcdonalds chicken nuggets although mcdonalds has quality control where the whole nugget is cooked not just part of it. That's correct the end of the chicken on our plate was raw and if the low standard chef were to take a closer look no it wasn't the oil they cook the chicken in. The chicken itself was served cold. The sticky ribs and fried rice while dining were amazing however a few hours later I find myself sick to my stomach. I think it was the rice more or less that has left the lingering after taste I cannot wash out. Overall the price spent we could have had a meal and a movie anywhere else and had change left over. Oh before I forget the vallet parking Ralph was a very nice person who kept a smile on his face the whole time he was there. Overall restaurant fails, manager on duty fails, chef fails the staff from bartenders to waiters and vallet great job!

It doesn’t matter if you come for brunch, lunch or dinner; there will be plenty of delicious options to choose from. 😋

Recommended dishes: Nigerian Suya Skewers, Japanese Ube Pancakes
Ube pancakes weren’t as good as expected. Aesthetically pleasing but a little dry and lacking flavor, even with the condensed milk based sauce.
Jerk chicken and waffles were absolutely phenomenal though. The chicken is so well seasoned and not a single spot of it was dry, which is my fear always when ordering jerk chicken. Maple syrup wasn’t the cheap kind either, very rich in flavor. Highly recommend!

Service was really good. The atmosphere was very lively and relaxing.
The valet service is 10 out of 10.
We ordered the oxtail, rice and beans combo, and ribeye. The seasoning on the ribeye was a bit off for me.
Overall, it was a good experience.

Restaurantji Recommends
I absolutely loved my dinner here and the whole restaurant concept. I got the award winning flor de amor cocktail and was ready to give it my own award. Came on a Wednesday which happened to be oyster night and OMG the oaxacafeller oysters still make me salivate just thinking about them. I also tried the provaleta cheese dish, suya skewers, adobe snapper, Caribbean oxtails and chocolate lava cake.
While the adobe snapper was just ok to me, the yucca fritter it came with was outstanding and could have been a dish on its own. The oxtails tasted of Indian influence way more than Caribbean but still got ate.
Overall the good food was REALLY GOOD while the two I mentioned above were ok but by no means bad. I’ll absolutely return to try more items.
Oh and my waiter Giovani was outstanding. He was on point, kind and amazing at his recommendations. We wanted help getting to Nigerian suya from Mexican oysters and he truly took us on a journey that made sense for our palates. 10/10 experience!

Luis is an excellent waiter; he is polite and friendly. My food arrived cold and was bland. I ordered the Nigerian skewers with rice. My family and I were celebrating my daughter’s birthday, and I was disappointed because this is her favorite restaurant.
