Tropical Express is a great spot for a casual meal! The food is always fresh and flavorful, with generous portions at a very reasonable price. I especially enjoyed the friendly service — the staff makes you feel welcome right away. The place is simple but clean, and everything came out quickly. Definitely a nice local restaurant to stop by when you’re in the area.
This is probably the 2nd place I found in houston that has snowballs that remind me of being back home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The flavor was so sweet and yummy. It was soaked in juice. The ice was so soft! Prices are great. Service is solid. We pulled up right before close (I hate doing that) and they still served us. It's ducked off in a neighborhood. We didn't have issues parking in the street. There is enough seating at well. It's outside and in a neighborhood...
This restaurant is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Don't let the older building make you doubt trying this place! Burgers are amazing! It's definitely a hidden competition for the burger joints chain.
