For my 30th birthday I decided to get a small group of friends together and head to Truth BBQ for a BBQ dinner. Not only was the brisket the best brisket I have ever had, but the staff was kind enough to celebrate with us with a fun dance and candled slice of cake! Amazing experience all around, and I will definitely be coming back for more brisket.

Was our third visit and still the #1 bbq in my book. Brisket is super tender and juicy, ribs fall off the bones and all the sides are delicious. Get there before they open though so you can make sure to get exactly what you want.

Mediocre brisket at best. Some slices were really dry, and they ran out of other kinds of meat when we got there . I think it is overhyped and overpriced by the service/ambiance it presents. I’ve had better brisket in LA. Hoping to find other places in Houston for amazing brisket. Good Mac and cheese btw.

Very famous place in Houston for the smoked meat.. I found the brisket to be ok .. not the best but never let you down.. but the smashed burgers is out of this world!!
Been in the restaurant twice and i noticed the line moves fast so don’t be intimidated

I'll give it a 3.6.
The brisket was delicious. The ribs were salty. The sausage was good. Brussel sprouts, baked beans, potato salad (too much dill) could use some work. Corn and tatertot casserole were good. The service and atmosphere was clean and great.

Got here around 10:30AM on a Saturday and doors opened promptly at 11:00AM. Only thing that annoyed me was there was a couple standing in front of us and then when the doors opened 4 more people joined them. As grown men/women that’s just silly. I understand if there was little kids that can’t stand for long periods of time then it’s okay but grown people camping in the car and making the line longer last minute was annoying. I got brisket, pork ribs, beef dino rib and Jalapeño Cheddar sausage. The sides I got were the Corn pudding and mac and cheese. Everything was phenomenal and tasty. I was a big fan and the service was good. I’ve had good bbq and this was good too. Very pricey so be prepared to spend some money. For the area parking was very good too.

Kansas citian here! Succulent melt in your mouth pulled pork. Heavily peppered ribs with more of a bite if your into that sort of thing. Brisket=meat butter. Probably the best tres leches I've ever had. Get the beef rib if available!

The brisket was very moist and delicious but the sides were sub-par. They were trying to be too fancy instead of keeping them simple. The tater tot casserole was mushy, bland and didn’t taste of much. We asked for pickles and onions, again fancy pickled onions, we wanted just plain white sliced onions and hamburger pickles. I asked for a small bowl of sauce on the side, they said sauce was on the table, it was in a bottle, cold and who knows how long it had been there. Oh and they don’t have french fries.
Although the brisket was really good, I won’t be going back, this just wasn’t for me!

I can’t honestly judge their food because while I have heard quite a bit about it i have yet to try it. Typically Houstonians over price and over smoke. What I will say it’s they don’t have enough parking to support their dining room. I am a customer of the HEB across the street and while HEB’s parking is limited Truth’s customers frequently park in that very small lot and walk across the street. I saw a group of very large robust meat eaters park their car and saddle up on one another to head across the street just yesterday. I asked the guard at HEB what he could do and he said nothing legally. So I will continue to go to Pinkerton’s which is average but at least they have enough parking. So hey Truth tell your customers not to park in a lot that is not designated for your customers.
