Me, my wife and our soon to be two year old son came in last night at 8:30. We ordered a few small plates, a glass of Riesling and the passionfruit yuzu mocktail. We also ended up doing the Somakase and everything from start to finish was amazing. Perfectly curated to our liking with just a few simple questions. They even sent out a veggie roll for our son. Our server Aisha was amazing and very knowledgeable, all the staff there were so sweet and helpful. The music they played was exactly what my wife and I enjoy as well and the ambiance was great, a good noise level to still enjoy conversations but to also have the place feel alive. We’re excited to come back and want to thank everyone at Uchi!
Also- Don’t forget to make happy hour from 4-6 such a great selection at great prices!

Aisha, our waitress went above and beyond. She is very knowledgeable with everything that is served. The sushi bar even sent out a veggie sushi for my baby boy to eat. We had an amazing dinner!

I always go to Uchi with my girlfriends and forget to take pictures of the food. Honestly though- the food, service and atmosphere is the best! Ps. Love their matches.

I'm not a big Sushi eater, but I decided to step out my comfort at Uchi. Great service, incredible food, and Chef Justin made the experience unforgettable. As someone who hasn’t eaten much sushi, I appreciated the variety he prepared for me—and everything was delicious. Uchi won me over.

I m not sure what I m eating All the food texture alter or change to a funny taste to me A lobster don’t taste like lobster or the fish sushi don’t taste the same fish. Even the desert taste ordinary why the restaurant high rating or so expensive I have no damn idea why. I will not eat there again or I don’t recommend other people either. Expensive for nothing the one dish rice pot with mushrooms load with heavy butter oil and u feel like ur heart stuff with a bunch of clog grease to ur heart and guts to me look at the bottom of dish with oil. Also sushi picture fish look warm and I hope it is ok to eat

I ordered the Hama Chili, Spicy Crunchy Tuna, Hirame Nigiri, Wagyu Tartar, Fried Milk, and the Hirame Usuzukuri.
Hama Chili — 5 stars. Every single time. It’s bright, citrusy, clean, and just melts. This is one of my favorite dishes at both Uchi and Uchiko. Never disappoints.
Spicy Crunchy Tuna — 3 stars. It was good. Not bad. But compared to similar spicy crunchy dishes I’ve had at Uchiko, it just didn’t hit the same. It felt a little one note.
Hirame Nigiri — 5 stars. So delicate. So simple. Perfect texture. This is the kind of dish that reminds you why Japanese cuisine is elite.
Wagyu Tartar — 2 stars. I love the concept. I love the idea of the fried toast with it. But it leaned too salty for me, and it overpowered the richness of the beef. I wanted to love it more than I actually did.
Hirame Usuzukuri — 5 stars. Light, refreshing, thinly sliced perfection. It felt elegant and intentional.
Fried Milk — 5 stars. I don’t even argue about this one. It’s warm, soft, balanced, and just comforting in the best way.
Overall? Uchi was good. Very good. But if I’m comparing it to my experience at Uchiko… Uchiko still wins for me. It was so good that I almost teared up, and it maybe because of the items I ordered but the entire experience felt more immersive. Uchi satisfied me. Uchiko transported me.

Went to happy hour with some friends from out of town. It was my first time at Uchi, but I’ve heard fabulous reviews from coworkers so I came in with high expectations. We walked in without reservations but were quickly seated at the bar. The food is great; the Walu walu and wartarigani temaki was tasted delicious, but the unfortunately service left much to be desired. I think the servers at the bar are overwhelmed. However, the true reason for the three star review was that they tipped themselves extra. There are a lot of sushi restaurants in Houston.

Best sushi I ever had. Staff was friendly and explained all the dishes that came out. We had a great time!
Always perfect! Every time is an unforgettable dining experience and the service is spectacular.
We tried the vegetarian omakase with our vegetarian friends. It was very good. A lot of mushroom dishes. Each dish was well presented and with great flavors.

Uchi never disappoints! Linda is the best along with the knowledgeable hands who help drop dishes. You're never waiting for service as someone always has eyes on your table.

We had out anniversary dinner here and the service and staff were so wonderful and sweet. The food, as always, was great.
Besides it's sister restaurant Uchiko, they are the best sushi restaurants I've ever visited in the states only rivaled by Japan itself. Highly recommended. Absolutely nothing is sub-par and service is equally as good.
