My first time there.The food was horrible. Their website menu is misleading. They had old food out on the steam tables. I will not revisit them again nor will I recommend anyone there.

I bought gift card from this location. It is no expiration on the card. Now I want to use it but they said my gift card # is not in their system because I bought it from previous owner. People need to consider when you buy gift card here. If they change owner you will loose your money.

BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE If I could I'd give this 0 stars I would We saw a tiktok showing lavish amounts of seafood and all you can eat lobster (which was a total lie.) All of the seafood was generic and underwhelming. For the large price of 38.99 a person I am expecting something more. The presentation of a lot of the food was just unappetizing and looked like it had been sitting out for hours. We did get hit with a service tax of 12% which is insane and as well a 3% tax fee for using a card vs cash. You can tell they use social media to hype themselves when in reality it's absolutely trash. The hot pot was extremely underwhelming and tasted bland...very flavorless and the hibachi was non existent. Only two options for meat for the hot pot which is insane. don't waste your time or money going here especially for Valentine's day like we did a week earlier.

I recommend trying this buffet only once. The fried pork belly is particularly delicious. However, the overall food combination and quality are not exceptional, but the dessert section is truly outstanding.

$45 for lunch. Poor selection of food and sushi isn’t labeled or good, plus saw flies on sashimi. Hibachi meat looked suspect. Don’t waste your time or money.

I was disappointed with the buffet. Last Friday I was at the restaurant at 7:30. The lobsters serve after 20 minutes of waiting. The lobster was very dark in color. It was probably leftover from previous night. I asked for squid sushi and the guy said no squid. Prime rib is absolutely not typical prime rib more like much lower quality of meat. There was no blue crab. The first dinner buffet I had when they just opened was very good and crowded. This time the crown is not there. I will not waste money to have buffet at Umi anymore.

So upset I came all the way from Humble to try this place out and it was terrible. I just left from their lunch buffet and it did not live up to hype. I guess because it’s lunch they don’t feel the need to put the good food out. Only dinner that’s $46 per person gets the best fried rice. I will never waste my money here again should’ve went to Panda! The servers were nice though.

I tried this seafood buffet yesterday (10/4) and honestly felt it was overpriced. Their Facebook ad mentioned “whole lobster” but there wasn’t any. The stir-fry lobster tray was almost always empty during the two hours I was there. Service was slow, the snow crab was too salty and not fresh or tender. Drinks like milk tea are placed in a very hidden corner. Overall, not a satisfying experience, will not go back. Also, after the meal, I had diarrhea three times last night and even this morning.

Umi was my favorite restaurant
but after visit today I will never come back there again.
they remove all the good and price still the same that is wrong. whoever make a change on your menu that is big mistake . customers know.
most of seafood and during my visit there is no lobsters always empty plate. I was thinking Umi is top buffet in town but not anymore .

Generally the food was pretty good for buffet standard. With this price, it is expected though. However, lobsters were gone before we could even get a piece. Not one person on my table got to try the lobster. Not sure I will go back.

We’ve been coming here at least twice a month, but unfortunately, this will be our last visit. We came tonight to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and were very disappointed.

Many of the good dishes we used to enjoy have been replaced or removed. The variety was much less than before. They advertised “Lobster Night,” but when we arrived on the day it was supposed to be available, we were told they were out — yet we were still charged the same price. That’s not how business should be done.

The grill station was gone, and items like salmon, short rib, steak, and lamb now have to be specially ordered instead of being readily available. Some dishes weren’t refilled until the trays were completely empty, and even then, it took a while. The shrimp and crabs were not as fresh as before, and there were fewer toppings for the hot pot.

It really feels like everything has been cut back a lot, which is disappointing after being loyal customers for so long
