Truly a Houston gem! I’ve been regularly coming to Under the Volcano for more than 3 years and it never disappoints. The place itself gives you such an authentic feel!! The tacos are excellent specially the Buenos Aires…whoever their cook is I hope they never leave. Beer is great and so are their mixed drinks. The staff is always wanting you to have a nice time. Such a fun place to unwind.

I have a chance on yesterday to try out Monday Steak Night. The 16 ounce steak I ordered was very tender and seasoned to perfection Ms. Key was my Server and she was very quick while assisting other customers. Always, I wanted to inform future customer that they have ordered at the Bar and no wait at the table when your food arrives at the table. The drinks are very very strong and not watered down. Over all it was a very good experience dinning at the restaurant.

I come here for the avocado toast and fried eggs (Sunday brunch) as well as the horseradish pomegranate margarita. Holy cow that margarita is amazing! Super cool vibe, too!
It's been a while since I last visited, but the drinks are still amazing and the bartender Bella was friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great suggestions! (try the Green on Red: it's a deliciously quirky libation) There's plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor, and since we were there on a weekday, there was plenty of parking. I'll be back!
