Truly a Houston gem! I’ve been regularly coming to Under the Volcano for more than 3 years and it never disappoints. The place itself gives you such an authentic feel!! The tacos are excellent specially the Buenos Aires…whoever their cook is I hope they never leave. Beer is great and so are their mixed drinks. The staff is always wanting you to have a nice time. Such a fun place to unwind.
My absolute favorite neighborhood bar for years now. They've been doing delightful craft cocktails with natural ingredients well before it was a trend. Big fan of the tacos and the pomegranate horseradish margarita. Steak night is a bargain.
Great little spot for drinks and snacking foods. Enjoyed an early evening here. Not crowded on a rainy Tuesday. Drinks were made quickly and without hesitation, same for the food. Would stop back in if in the area.
