The food is great! There's a long wait time but it's worth it.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO GO WHEN THEY FIRST OPEN!

This has to be the best Cajun food we had since moving here from New Orleans. The food was perfectly Southern Cajun seasoned and was not trying to hide behind over salted flavor!
The store had a notice that there will be a wait. So if you wish to grab a quick bite, this place isnt meant for you. If you are patient and really want to enjoy authentic Cajun dishes, pack your patience/ phone charger/battery/ and snacks for the littles.

We had the chicken and waffles (Hawaiian ube coconut) - amazing texture and flavors!

Crawfish shrimp ettoufee - love the sauce, seasoning has the right punch of spice (not too spicy that can cause heart burn or bloating), love the fresh taste of the shrimp and of course, crawfish wasnt in season but still good.

Crispy Fried Chicken over grits with crawfish - batter was perfect, crispy and light, grits was really good bc it's not your typical grits - not mushy/ dried out/not hard/seasoned buttery grits.

Overall, highly recommend this place. =)

I've always loved this place, but my recent visit will be my last. Waited almost 2 hrs. Finally got the Gumbo, another 30 mins the food came. The sweet potatoes have completely changed, no flavor. Then the roaches came out. On our table, on our chairs. Not good. The floors have been sticky and dirty for awhile but the roaches abd the wait destroyed it.

My absolute favorite! I’ve been coming to Viola & Agnes for years and it’s so exciting to see them getting the recognition they deserve, even if it means the wait is longer. Everything Chef Aaron makes is delicious, the staff are friendly and attentive, and we always leave full and happy (with tons of leftovers too). A true hidden gem!

You should know before going here it’s going to be a while before you eat. As long as you go in knowing that you’re in for a treat. Food is all amazing, the staff is all friendly and laid back. It’s byob, so you can save some money if you normally drink. We had catfish, the pretzel, gumbo, shrimp & grits, greens, beans & rice, & coleslaw. All was amazing.

Best gumbo, and best corn bread, as tasty as homemade. Excellent drink options.

Great food. Crazy wait. You definitely want to get there before the lunch rush to cut the wait time down. After the lunch rush creates the possibility of things being sold out.

The food is out of this world and worth the wait and price. If I was on death row I’d ask for the crawfish and gulf shrimp etouffee. My husband got the gumbo and loved it. My kids are huge fans of ube and we don’t see it often so it was nice to see an ube flavored waffle. The chicken and waffles were so big my kids shared it. I will say my only complaint was it is sooo hot in there.

I came for the breakfast but eventually got my lunch here because i waited more than 90 min. I was informed that the waiting time is ca 15-20 min however. Despite of the longest wait time in my life, the food was great here.

Whenever I work in the area, I try to grab lunch there. I ordered the bbq shrimp & grits, this was the best I’d ever had. On a second trip I got the sticky chicken, which was fire too ! The portions are good for the price point. The owner was cool, the staff is always welcoming and communicative. Worthy of all the hype this place gets. I’d work here for free if I could learn that shrimp & grits recipe LOL
