We enjoy this place. Good food and like 30 beers on draft and none of them are ordinary.

Awesome neighborhood place! Check it out. German style food, tons of beer options, and friendly staff. It’s barely OTL but feels like it should be ITL.

Searching for some delicious German food? Look no further! This is the closest to authentic German food we could find in Houston (MUCH better than the more known options…) and we should know, as my wife was born and raised in Bavaria. So far we tried their pork shank (#1 recommendation), Schnitzel, Schweinebraten, warm potato salad (also BOMB!) and braised cabbage. All of it was very tasty! Another gem is their Mr. Green cider, you should absolutely try it if you love green apple flavor. The people working here are extremely friendly and kind. We will be back yet again! :)

The food was high quality. The fish and chips were very good, though the portions aren't particularly generous. The sausage sampler and the Kohlrouladen were typically German. Side note, the Germans are not world famous for their cuisine, lol, but the quality was good.

Now let's talk price. It's expensive. You can't normalize it by saying eating out is expensive - even adjusting for inflation it's high. Two entrees, one appetizer, and a soft drink = $75, incl. tip.

The service is fine and the atmosphere is casual and friendly. It's hard to reconcile that informal atmosphere with the prices.

It was good. The strange thing was our food didn't all come out together. One person at a time.
