Overall it was good food and the service was amazing and tended to all of our needs. But,the wait is what made our night longer than it was supposed to be(reservations were at 8:15 we were seated around 9:15-9-30 but overall great experience

Ambience, vibes, aesthetic? All amazing. This was such a cool, swanky restaurant that I would 100% come back to...if we maybe got different food or just for drinks. 1)You are only allotted 90 minutes to sit at the table and so you're asked to order everything you want right at the beginning. I understand wanting to make sure you don't have a table that spends 5 hours there and doesn't spend very much money, but we felt a little rushed at the get-go. This place isn't cheap, so we should be able to take our time, but I can look past that, if the food was incredible. 2) the food wasn't bad. Let's start off by saying that. There wasn't anything gross about the food, it was just so incredibly mid with a huge price tag. We started off with the meatballs, for which you only get 3 for like $20. They were fine, nothing to write home about. We both got filets that were cooked well and I have nothing to complain about with them. Our sides were pretty disappointing, the esquite corn and baked potato lacked so much flavor. The baked potato was fine, but it was a basic baked potato you could get at home. Nothing special about it. The corn was just so plain and had no flavor, we were pretty sad about it. 3) we got dessert and they brought it with a little sparkler on top, super fun, but the strawberry cake was bad. Very dry, definitely frozen and thawed, no flavor, and $26. Do better. 4) in full disclosure, we would want to come back to try the fries as an appetizer and pizza as they both looked much better than what we got. We were pretty envious of other tables, but that's on us for what we ordered. The fries were piled high and the pizza looked amazing, so maybe that's worth it. 1 mid dinner and $450 later...we really wished we enjoyed our experience a lot more. No 90 minute time limit that you are made aware of more than once. Better food (if you're charging those prices). And not having people wait for the bar, RIGHT next to diners. But immaculate vibes. Overall: 5/10

Great experience! Food and drinks were incredible. The only complaint is the strawberry cake was really dry.

Absolutely amazing food. The pasta zaza was our absolute favorite. Get it with Italian sausage! Maybe the best pasta dish we've ever had. The pizza (hot papi) was very good but a little too sweet. The honey truffle chicken was very tasty. Whipped potatoes weren't salty enough but eating it with the chicken elevated the dish so much. Ambience & service was great!!

The food, the space, our sever Adam, were all wonderful! One of the hidden gems In Houston!

What a wonderful experience. Not only was the customer service fantastic, but the food was outstanding.

The service was slow. This was our 3rd time to have dinner and we were looking forward to going again. We have decided not to go back. It was extremely loud and slow to get our drinks and food.

The food at Drake's and the service was excellent. It was just VERY loud. Also, my group read the dress code before we went dressed appropriately but clearly it is not enforced. The valet attendants were very rude. But, again, the service and food was excellent.

This restaurant has declined noticeably since its opening. The service was terrible. The bleu and gold martini was so oversalted that it was practically undrinkable. While the lobster ravioli was enjoyable and the filet mignon was decent, the “creamed corn” was served elote-style, which at Drake's translates to canned corn mixed with butter (flavored oil?) and cheese. This was not a good experience and we will not be back. With so many great restaurants in Houston, why waste your time and money here?

Drake's is super intimate and personable. The ozzy pizza and vodka pasta are to die for! I can't wait to go again and try other items

Great spot, but the lack of ability to speak with anyone to make a reservation change etc is disappointing—and frankly reason for me to avoid going forward. And then to email a reservation change, only to have my reservation cancelled and not modified (even though it was available)—without a call—is unprofessional. Fun spot. Be better though...
