We went here for my husband’s birthday. We were seated quickly; we had reservations. The drinks were meh. The food was subpar for the price. My risotto was cold and had the consistency of mash potatoes mixed with rice. We sat outside and battled the mosquitoes and the rats. Yes, there was a rat running around their waiter station and between the tables. When leaving I went to the restroom I had to pick my feet up so the roach wouldn’t climb on my shoe. I had to scale the wall to flush the toilet to avoid the roach. You can’t make this stuff up, needless to say we won’t be back. The only positive was the garlic bread and waters.

When we get the chance to visit Willie G’s we always jump at the opportunity. For years we have lived here in Houston and Willy G’s has always been a favorite. It’s that way because they have great food and great people. We often get our food to go and it’s always a snap with Hermando. He embodies the entire spirit of Willy G’s. He is an amazing asset to the restaurant and he has always been a joy to deal with. If you get the chance you have to eat here, but you do absolutely have to get one of there blueberry cheesecakes it is the perfect ending to any visit you make at Willy G’s. Thanks Hermando and Tanks Willy G’s.

First-time visitor from Detroit and I must say, what an experience! Our server Tez was absolutely AMAZING! We went with all of his recommendations and every single dish was spot on. The drinks were just as impressive! I also loved that leadership personally stopped by our table! They were so warm, personable, and genuinely welcoming. If I could give 10 stars across the board, I absolutely would! This will definitely be a must-visit spot every time I’m in Houston!

We had an amazing time for dinner. The restaurant was very clean and looked brand new. The bar was really cool and had multiple TVs on so we could watch sports. They have a fresh oyster bar with lots of choices and a raw bar. I had the barbecued shrimp and oysters in the drinks were even good. This was truly a surprising experience since I’ve eaten Willy G in the past, but this restaurant should be their flagship they hit on all cylinders.
