I've been coming here since day 1! I love the food and desserts. I was so glad when they were able to expand to include a larger seating area. Depending on what you order, the price can be steep. It can be worth it to get unique vegan items that are hard to find otherwise. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-06
Easy to find place, nicely simple and inviting on the outside, cozy on the inside. The staff was so friendly and helpful. On to the food...they have good options to pick from, I went with the Garden Burger with Truffle Fries...the burger was really good, tastes so fresh and the veggie patty has a small amount of spice...like very small amount but it is so good....the fries we nice too...crispy and warm
Wisdom Cafe is a fine place but the limited choices seem a bit heavy to me. The sandwiches are delicious but all come with fries. Choices are limited and the prices are on the high side for a counter service restaurant. The baked goods include cupcakes and cinnamon rolls that are large and very sweet but our family can split one of their cinnamon rolls into three servings for an after lunch treat and be very satisfied.
Pictures don’t do the food justice. I would recommend buying extra fries or convincing the amount given isn’t worth the price. Please don’t let that discourage you from eating here! I don’t have the Itis after eating here!!! 🤗🌚
Disappointed. 5 days ago I order a $100.00 dollar Vegan Vanilla cake with strawberry filling in advance to pick up today and the freakin strawberry filling is no where to be found! Happy Birthday to me then, Never again will I order from here again, specially when I had to drive 1 hour there and 1 hour back to my bday lunch to find out you messed up a simple cake order! 25+ vegans that will never be attending or ordering from your establishment! It was a Vanilla cake with strawberry filling!!! And next time ask if a name or any writing would be good for the cake since it was not offered! Thank you, from the Birthday boy.
I highly recommend checking out their mac and cheese it was delicious. The sandwiches were awesome as well but I was hoping they'd be a big bigger, but it was a pretty normal portion for a vegan place. They had a huge selection of baked goods but I didn't delve into any of that, just got breakfast.
This place is in an unexpected strip mall. It's tucked between adult shops and insurance companies. But it's worth going to! The parking lot is full of potholes and can be hard to access because of the amount of traffic in the area. I imagine leasing the building is affordable and I love that there is vegan food anywhere near Houston (the home of steak houses and BBQ). Once you get into the restaurant it's like you are transported to a totally different place. It's got a very cute and cozy cafe vibe and the people working here are so incredibly nice. The food is so good! Everything on the menu that I have tried has been tasty. Any time there is a special of the day or week I try it. Recently it was nachos and I was just craving nachos so it was serendipity. They used vegan chorizo and black beans for a tasty and filling meal. I have also had their chickpea salad sandwich, Gouda burger, parmesan fries, pesto fries, tons of different flavors of cupcakes, coffee cake, cookies, and different lemonades. They told me that they are ending their guava lemonade though so you'll have to get a different flavor. They had blueberry flavor on the menu last time I went and it was delicious. It was packed with freshly blended blueberries and has great flavor. Years ago I went and during Thanksgiving they had meals that were to die for! I don't know if they still do that, but it is around the corner and worth checking out. I highly recommend trying this place and giving them as much business as possible! Show them that Houston loves vegan food!
Great food and many choices, not just a bakery. Love the gluten free options too
While I was on my way back into town I stopped by Wisdom's Vegan Bakery & Cafe and I was not disappointed. I got the lunch special - $11 for mac n cheeze, buffalo cauliflower, and a side salad with vegan ranch. In addition I got the truffle fries and some cookies. The staff are super kind and the store is compact but clean and cozy. Would be here every day if it were not for the distance. Only complaint I have is that I had to drive in circles around the pothole-ridden parking lot for a few minutes before I could find the place, but that's out of their control. Had lunch with seven vegan & non-vegan family members. Everyone gave high marks for the desserts we enjoyed afterward. The lunch main courses were good but not great. Garlic parm fries had tasty flavor but were greasy limp texture. The sweet potato fries were crisp & delicious. The Beyond gouda burger and spicy chick'n sandwiches were hits. Service was friendly but could use a little more proactive initiative.

So many options for both bakery and cafe-style lunch. All so delicious but their cake pops are the best!
I appreciate all of the options they have. I. Ordered the matcha latte, Philly, garlic parm fries, and a strawberry blondie. Philly was a bit salty even for me - but the flavors were there 7/10. The fries were a 10/10. Matcha 10/10. Blondie 10/10.
I’ve been here a few times. First of all, if you are in the Woodlands this is where you’re going to want to go. It’s a cozy and comfortable place with a good food menu and a lot of tasty treats. I’ve never had their coffee, but it seems to be very popular. On this latest trip, I had the pulled barbecue, which was a mix of jackfruit and mushrooms. It was very good, and had a very nice smoky flavor. I also had a red velvet cupcake, which was pretty good.
As of now, we do not recommend this company. In the past we have had good experiences, but yesterday when I was trying to order something for Christmas, the person gave me the impression that there would not be a problem. When I went online the same evening to order, as I discussed with the person, the item was no longer available. When I called back today, the individual on the phone wasn't accommodating at all and wouldn't let me speak to the owner. She said the owner was there, but wouldn't forward the phone to her. Extremely frustrated. It's a shame that this is how the owner wanted to allow her business to be run.
I've been going to this restaurant for years, I really love their chicken wraps and vegan pastries Updated from previous review on 2023-11-04
