Took my nephew here when he was visiting Houston. We had a blast. The music was ON point. We aren’t big drinkers. We enjoyed the ICE room - helllla cold especially when the Houston humidity is hitting hard. Upstairs from here - also love the bar there - dope HTX photo op and an outdoor air conditioned open vibe. They often have fire dancers in the rooftop and big fans and a giant swing !

On October 4th at 7pm, the bartender asked for IDs, I gave her my ID IN HER HAND. She placed my ID on the COUNTER. I politely asked her to give me back my card in my HAND please.
She looked at me and said "I don't have to!" I asked for the manager and stated her customer service was horrible. She said she was the manager, AND refused to give me her name.
I walked towards the secret room to take a picture with the props, but yet she came from behind the bar grabbed my arm, pulled on my shirt and screamed at me to leave. I told her to get her hands off of me or else.
My husband stated she then went into the kitchen and grabbed "something". I told her to PLEASE call the police because she was putting her hands on a pregnant woman. She backed down!
But WHY is a worker physically attacking customers??? Just call the police! Wonder bar, do better in training for conflict management and customer service!!!!
The owners should be able to tell who the worker was that particular night and need to be aware of this incident as well.

Nice little bar that has a hidden room. If you've never been, definitely give it a whirl. Also, try the spin the wheel! Didn't try any food..

I was only in there a short time. It is a great place for selfies.
The folks that are working here now are the absolute worst! I’ve been here a few times in the past and it’s been a great but these last few times have been different. All the workers care about is socializing with each other. They constantly close the bar 30 mins before the actual closing time and will get an attitude if you even bother to ask if they’re still open. One lady even rolled her eyes at me when I asked if they were open still. Me and my family are from out of town and I was dying to show them this place but was turned away so rudely. Not a good look

i just get to the bar and order first round of drinks for 5 people, and the bartender charges me $212 for another persons tab when i just got there when my tab was originally supposed be be only $54. how do you charge the wrong card for a person who JUST got there and i said closed tab in the first place also? how do you charge the wrong tab for a different persons card in the first place?

Wonder Bar is an absolute disgrace and the worst place to grab a drink, especially if you’re part of the LGBT community. The blatant discrimination I faced there was unbelievable. The moment I walked in, I was told that men aren’t allowed to carry bags, yet women could. But guess what? Once inside, I saw straight men with tote bags! When I confronted the bar staff, their pathetic excuse was that they ‘can’t control what they do.’ This place is beyond disgusting, and their treatment of LGBT customers is appalling.

the staff here have inflated ego’s. my friend was told that he could not have a bag & no explanation was given to why. we didn’t give push back. when we went inside, other men had small bags of their own. other bars around the area are more welcoming!
