It was ok. The service was a bit slow.
The cupcakes were old.

New Owners! The two previous women chef owners sold both restaurant & catering business about 11 months ago. Had the Cuban sandwich, but it’s not as good as it used to be. The fries are now thin, tasteless shoestrings that go cold fast. The chocolate chip cookie? Just one bite—definitely not great. On the bright side, the staff was super friendly!

Had some of the most exceptional food/service in over 15 years. Coming here has been amazing experience and the manager Orlando doesn’t just make you feel like a customer, he makes you feel like family. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a fantastic dinning experience!

Worth a visit (but could use some sound proofing)

Vegetarian options: We tried an eggplant dish. One person enjoyed it. Another person who is a vegetarian said the eggplant was undercooked (tough to cut with a knife) but otherwise the other parts of the dish were good

This place changed. Used to be cozy little world cafe/bakery and now it's some overpriced wannabe market. I used to come here and have breakfast and coffee and some baked goods and now I will never be back. Another little hidden gem in Houston gone

? This is a nice bakery. The people were very polite.? It's a bit far from the rest of civilization (anywhere inside 610 Loop).? I especially liked how the brownies weren't contaminated with nuts. It seems like chefs and bakers are adding them to EVERYTHING nowadays.? After I just sand the praises of the brownie... the chocolate chip cookie had nuts. I'm not allergic to nuts. I just don't like them added to things they shouldn't be in and ruining a perfectly good chocolate chip cookie.

I used to love going to this place. The people who worked there were always so nice and the food was usually pretty good. This place had a nice neighborhood restaurant feel to it. However, they recently changed ownership and the food and the service is very different, is not bad but they still have work to do. I just had a burger and it was disappointing, the meat patty was dry and not as fresh as it used to be. In addition, I ordered sweet potatoes fries instead of the chips with pickles but I got everything, I didn't notice this until I arrived home ( I ordered for Pickup),however I did realize they price was much more than what I expected. I didn't just pay extra for the fries the prices in general have increased since the change.

Stopped in to try. Cookie prices are ok at $3 for a big cookie. Mini round cheesecake $9.50, croissant $6…wow! A bit too much. The oatmeal cookie was great. The Italian cream cupcakes, not so much. Probably the most irritating thing is charging a surcharge for credit card use. I’m sorry. That’s your cost of doing business. Judging from the prices, it’s already added in. I know, a lot of retailers are doing that now. Well, those are the retailers I won’t frequent.
