For such a great culinary and service experience, I'm sad I'd not come before now. We were there for Houston Restaurant Week and got two of the 4 course options. All of the dishes were great and our server was fantastic. Very nice cocktail list as well.

I recently had brunch at Xochi's ,
I was really looking forward to dining here for a while now, unfortunately, my experience was tainted by the behavior of the hostess. I encountered an issue with the initial greeting: the hostess came across as abrupt, dismissive and noticeably rude not just to us but other guest as well. She said there was a 2 hour wait and we saw plenty of tables available. Her tone was unnecessarily harsh when we asked to her to add us on the waitlist list. Which affected the overall welcoming vibe of the restaurant. One of the couples that came in after us, after being seated by this hostess decided to leave .
Fortunately, things got better once we were seated. Our waiter was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and respectful, which really turned the experience around. It was clear that the service improved significantly after the initial interaction.
As for the food, it was excellent. The brunch menu had some great options, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. Despite the rough start with the hostess, the meal itself made up for it.
First impressions are important. A friendly, warm greeting can really enhance a dining experience, and I believe a little more courtesy from the hostess would go a long way in making customers feel valued from the moment they arrive.— after all, the hostess is the face of the restaurant, and a little more warmth and friendliness would go a long way.
Overall - Once we were seated down it was enoyable and found the food to be satisfactory .

Staying at the Marriott had a reservation came in sat at a table that was right in the front. The Server came and gave us the restaurant weeks menu told us about a special and left. The server never came back, never asked if we wanted a cocktail which is the #1 question at a high end fine dinning restaurant. The Restaurant Weeks menu was not very appetizing. Cheek meat??? Really?!! Well anyways we left and went to Grotto!! Very disappointing experience

Best octopus Ive ever eaten, super super soft.
Absolutely stunning food in a laid-back setting. Everything mole is worth getting, but the goat tacos and the seared scallops were pretty much perfect. Great cocktails too. Special shout out to Ulises, who made the evening a surprisingly space-themed joy.

Always a great experience, service was excellent, food was great and we really enjoyed our sisters brunch day
Dined here with some friends for HRW! I got the Menu de Mezcal with the beverage pairing and was blown away with the food and drink quality. Every dish was amazing but the corn soup was the stand out for me.
