I had the Barbacoa de Res de Zaachila (grilled rolled tenderloin, hoja santa, guajillo puya and costeño pepper adobo, potato, carrots, masa dumplings). The beef was tender and flavourful. My friend also liked his enchiladas. The valet parking fees ($11) are pretty steep, but drivers might be better off taking that up, as the nearby open air carpark costs a freaking $30.

The food just generally wasn’t great. There wasn’t a lot of options to customize or change the aspects of the menu. Additionally, the server was a little aggressive with pushing for our table to order more appetizers and dessert. (We said no multiple times and he kept insisting).
I would say, only eat at this restaurant if you are fond of Oaxaca food. You cannot get a cop out “regular” dish here.

I had the mole tasting menu, and every dish was fantastic. I did not have the extra pairings, except for the pinot noir that was paired with the duck main dish. It was a nice red, but didn't seem to enhance the mole sauce, although that's asking a lot of any wine. The Pink Escalade cocktail was smooth and not too sweet. My husband had the Age of Oaxaca cocktail, which was even better.

We had a fantastic time! The staff had great suggestions and we had the catch of the day, scallops, and tuna. We also had Brussel sprouts for the table and we all enjoyed our dishes. The tuna was flavorful and the mole rich and deep with nuance. I liked it so much, I only regret that I may not try other items on the menu because I will always want the tuna again! The cacao dessert was artistically done with the faux shell of white chocolate. Total success, can’t wait to return.

Stopped in for late night snack after the pool and found this place OMG wasn't expecting this . Chef was so creative with dishes and combinations of flavor. Even dessert was creative and good. Our waiter was awesome great experience.

Highly recommend to any foodie, international cuisine lover!! I ate at the bar on May 20th for happy hour. I had happy hour bites and drinks and watched all of the bar staff, hostesses and servers perform their duties amazingly and with a smile. The front of house manager saw us arrive with a work backpack and asked if we needed to store it. (NO need for us to ask). Fabulous.
The bar staff is top tier. I even saw the front of house Manager arrive to the bar and help sling drinks onto the big trays. FYI from a former restaurant industry employee, this is very motivating and shows a fantastic team effort! The tostada de camaron and Molotes were excellent as was the house Sangria (not too sweet ). I will be back for more :)

OMG, so good and unique flavors. They offer a fantastic menu—also a ton of gluten-free offerings. One of the best in Houston. Amazing not drinks but cocktails.
Food was so good my family of 10 loved it (including other family members) just wonderful Service was 10/10 food was a 9/10 go try it!!

I’ve eaten at many Mexican places, for over 15 years. This is one of the best fusions I’ve had. The food is fresh, inventive, delicious. And reasonably priced for the size and quality. HIGHLY recommend.
Never does a place meet my expectations for service. I usually write that part off. This place FAR EXCEEDS any surrounding service you’ll receive. I asked 20 questions. The server was patient, kind, so informative. On an INCREDIBLY busy night. And I gave so many instructions and special requests. They listened to ALL OF THEM and followed through.
Take a trip, stop on by, come try the delicious and truly not pretentious food. You won’t regret it.
I had the Ostones en suite concha, ceviche de atun, Robalo, Queso de rancho, taqueria dorados, empanades de Camaros, as appetizers. Highly recommend the ceviche and queso, very unique.
Main course: Atun Tatemado. Delicious. So good I came back twice.
