I’ve visited Xochi in the past, but this past Sunday’s experience did not meet the expectations set by my previous visits. The Sunday brunch “buffet” did not feel worth the price. The food was cold, and the selection was limited. They offered carnitas, but there was only a small amount left and no effort was made to replenish it. I arrived around 1:45 PM, and although they close at 3:30 PM, I believe that if I am paying the same amount as everyone else, I should receive the same quality and freshness of food.

Food was excellent, went there for anniversary. The waiter was terrible for that experience. He couldn’t make recommendations for items. Took forever on everything, wasn’t friendly. I was pretty sad about it since we picked a spot for the experience and the food.

Clearly the best choice.
We dined here tonight and the we were met with a smile and Francisco was our waiter. He is so nice, professional and knowledgeable. Visiting from out of town. He went over the menu and his recommendations were on point. Food was lovely and delicious. It was worth every single penny

My expectations were exceeded. We tried multiple different items and everything was excellent. Our server, Cesar, was great. He explained everything well, his suggestions were wonderful, the timing of courses was spot on, he was cognizant of and asked about food allergies, and he kept the water glasses filled. Valet parking is available at a reasonable fee and that fee can be integrated into the bill for the food.

Love the vegetarian options and vegan options. The Tacos papas were amazing. Only complaint was the vegan cake was rather sour. Otherwise it was great!

Decent menu, good to have Oaxacan flavors in Houston, stick to basics mole and you will not be disappointed. Service needs improvement, staff mostly talking amongst themselves.
