Great location and great food. The Marriott Marquis isn't going to have a lame restaurant inside! They also have a great tequila selection.

My first time at Xochi was about 5 years ago (for dinner) and I was left slightly unimpressed. I've tried all of chef Hugo's restaurant and like them all. Today I decided to give xochi a second chance and I thought their brunch buffet was decent. Not bad but nothing impressive like the buffet at caracol. The restaurant itself is very nice. Our waitress did an amazing job checking up on our party of 8. Parking USE TO BE complimentary and now it's $11.50 which sucks, but it's downtown so I guess that's expected. Probably wouldn't come back or recommend. I think you're better off going to urbe, hugos, or caracol!

Happened to be staying at the Marriott Marquis and decided to eat here since it was adjacent to the hotel. It was a great decision. It is always a plus when patio seating is available. The drinks were amazing and the food was on point. Xochi is an authentic Mexican gem! The vibe, food, and drinks are amazing. The ambiance is vibrant, the dishes are bursting with flavor, and the handcrafted cocktails are a must-try. I highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Houston and, of course, even for locals, for an unforgettable Mexican dining.

Horrible experience. I ordered what was described as a large tortilla with Mets on top. What I got was a burnt, hard/crunchy flat bread with pieces of meat on top (literally a pizza). After a couple bites I realized this wasn't right... called the waitress over and she said it shouldn't be like that. They asked what I wanted to order instead. I ordered another steak dish. It was a 4/10 to day the least. The bill arrived, and instead of charging me for the original cheaper dish they charged me for the newer expensive dish. Usually restaurants try to make it right and compensate you a bit for the hassle. Whatever, I paid it. Then she brings me the receipt to sign and she swiped the card for a higher amount (with BOTH dishes on there). She said that was a mistake, but I know they were trying to pull a fast one on my hoping I wouldn't notice. Food was horrible and the staff were horrible.

I was so i impressed with the food and service that i went back a second time. The food here is outstanding and there are no words to describe Francisco. He was just awesome! The food here is made with love and pride. We need a XOCHI in NYC. If you come here once, you will come back many times. It’s that’s good!!

Delicious skirt steak and the cream corn rice is incredible. The mole on the octopus was a little underwhelming. The vegan chocolate cake was unforgettable. Attentive and kind service. Beautiful place for date night. Also we're playing really good enjoyable tunes.

DATE NIGHT/Conversation: Not recommendedCelebration: RecommendedThis review pertains primarily to the location. The food and service were excellent; however, this is not a great spot for a date. It is incredibly loud, as they fit as many people as possible into the place and host numerous parties due to its proximity to the GRB. I could NOT have a decent conversation with my date. I asked for a table to avoid an interview-style date, and that is exactly what they gave me.
We came from out of town & our service here was 10000%!! Perla was our server and we loved her. She had so much knowledge about the menu, drinks and was a total vibe. I will come back next time in town. Food was amazing & customer service was EXCELLENT!!
