It’s not Mary’s. If you go there because you loved Yia Yia Mary’s and miss that place dearly… you will be (as I was) very disappointed. Mary’s was warm, cozy and open. This one is high end, dark, LOUD, and fancy. The food was good, no doubt. It was expensive and for me wasn’t value for money.

If you have know lodge of Mary’s and you are going for a fancy date night, it will be wonderful. I still want Mary’s. 😞 the lemon potatoes are good and fancier… I want the basic ones from before, that has more actual lemon flavor.

Hands down best Greek cuisine in town. Everything is delicious and very well put together. Service is impeccable. Atmosphere is also great. Definitely recommend this place for a casual/fancy dinner. Make reservations for sure because it stays busy and you won't get a table.

It has been a while since my wife and I have had such an amazing and memorable dinning experience. The food, service and atmosphere were simply sublime. Pappas does not disappoint with this concept.

The place is beautifully decorated and the food is incredibly flavorful. The customer service was great as well. I came here for my birthday with friends and we decided to try a variety of dishes everything was delicious, but the lemon potatoes were definitely my favorite. Highly recommend!

Food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful! Octopus and lamb chops were amazing. Reservation was messed up so they placed a table outside near the water fountains which was lovely. Highly recommend eating at the new location.

This restaurant is exceptional in every way.

The ambiance feels like a larger and more modern take on a Greek taverna. Spotless, modern, warm and dim lighting.

The server (Charles) was deferential, attentive but not too attentive, quick to respond/react, and polite. Did a good job managing allergies. Same interaction I had with other staff members.

The food was just ... man. I cannot recall a better meal in Houston in recent memory, and if you know the Houston food scene, that is saying a lot. Every dish offered substantial textural and flavor profile depth. There was not a thing we were served that wasn't absolutely delicious and complex and flavorful. We shared the hummus, spanakopita, meatballs, and another dip as appetizers, had a few Old Fashioneds, salmon as my entree with spinach, ancient grains, and gigantes as sides. All were just superb, the salmon filet was so flavorful and perfectly textured, and the gigantes were just like they made them in a little Greek village on Crete where I had them for the first time.

It was a business dinner but all agreed we would return with our families. What a wonderful experience. Chef's kiss.

A very upscale version of the original Yiayia's . With both traditional Greek as well as some innovative twists.
A Greek salad with leafy greens.
The wine list is exceptional with two great Greek sparkling wines which are difficult to find in the US.
All of the staff are very well trained to NYC level professionalism.
Delicious food and a wonderful dining experience.
