This was a new spot for me, but highly recommended by a friend. I’ve already been back 2 additional times since I was introduced.

The food is great, service is quick and attentive, and the price is on point.

The owner has been here 8+ years and boy have I’ve been missing out. If your looking for a new spot, come try Yokushi Robata out as soon as possible.

They have a menu from street foods style skewers / kabobs to Ramen. They have plenty to select from even if these aren’t your type of dishes. Just take a look at the menu photos I’ve uploaded.

Below are note worthy items I think you should try if it’s your first visit:

Beef Skewers - with wasabl & yuzu sauce.
A must try!

Chashu Pork Bun - Pork with cabbago, green onion mayo in steamed bao
Think I’m baited as I love the puffy bao everywhere! Hehe

Pork Katsu Curry - Friad pork cutlet with pork broth curry over rice. This was an awesome dish. Another must try item if you enjoy curry.

If you enjoy Ramen the Spicy Tonkotsu -
Spicy pork bone broth with chashu pork, bamboo, chili pepper, black wood ear mushroom, seaweed and half boiled egg. Is another favorite that you will enjoy.

We can’t wait to return to try even more.

Until next time.

Parking: Never had an issue parking here.

Really like this place. The food is really good and very reminiscent of my visit to Japan. The chicken katsu curry was very good. It could have had a little more of a kick to it. The unagi was very good. I also ordered the okonomiyaki, which was a little too thick for me. In japan, they tend to be thinner. At least, that has been my experience, but overall, the flavor was still there. I will say the music was a bit loud upon arriving. They lowered the volume a bit but still pretty loud.
Overall, I will definitely come back as it's one of the few places in houston that I have found to serve Japanese style curry.

I was there for the yakitori. The chicken and beef options were juicy and flavorful. The ambience was unique and I appreciated the waitress’ recommendations being our first time. Will be back!

I have been craving Yoshinoya’s beef bowl for a long time. And this place has a “Yakiniku donburi” that is almost exactly the same. They add a fried egg and pickled vegetables (which I would recommend putting on the side).

Ramen felt like instant noodles. Please go to Ramen Tatsu-ya. Giant Cat sculpture out front. They make FRESH Noodles and the Miso is rich!

We indulged in a culinary adventure with a delectable array of dishes at Yokushi Robata! From succulent lamb chops to tantalizing unagi, Ebi Mayo, savory pork chops, and refreshing salmon poke bowls, lastly red bean mochi; every bite is a journey of flavor. And we’ve dunked it all with a perfectly chilled iced green tea for the ultimate dining experience! The attentive and genuinely kind staff will make you feel right at home. Thank you for a delicious and delightful lunch Yokushi Robata. I will certainly be back for more.

Was excited to come here based on the reviews, unfortunately the food was not good. We had a variety of dishes, and several of them were overcooked. The scallop in shell was slight, but the whole grilled squid tasted like a tire. The only good dish we had was the chicken thigh yakitori. Beef yakitori had an odd, rotting taste. Service was good and so was the sake. They need more experienced cooks on the grill. Chicken katsu was fine, had some terrible tomatoes on the side - not nearly good enough to redeem the other dishes. Saw another visitor comment on the blasting ac - why is it freezing inside? Sadly will not be coming back.

First time we went- my son loved the Ramen. I wasn't happy w the poke Bowl i got but the staff was nice and they helped me choose something else. Personal preference I guess- Wasabi isn't my thing and the dish I got had honey Wasabi on it that I didn't notice. But the appetizers were amazing and the place itself is soo nice

Great hole in the wall restaurant! After traveling Japan, this has been the closest vibe to the Omoide Yokocho experience we have found in Houston. The yakitori is phenomenal and the atmosphere rocks.
