The food was just fine but when I ordered the tilapia which was $19.99 and just a soda which was five dollars, I was given a total of about $38, After I pay for it, I noticed an extra Charge for a “custom amount” after I went back to the waiter, he said it was because The fish I ordered was bigger than usual, so they had to charge me extra, as if it was my fault that they served me a larger than usual fish, that seemed real shady

The food here is absolutely incredible but the service is absolutely terrible. The woman who I am assuming is the owner is the only one running the front of the restaurant; taking and placing orders, processing payments, greeting customers, etc. Literally every other person is just a cook. There is legit no one else on the front end with her so there was a lot of confusion with who came in first for orders to be placed and absurdly long wait times. It’s honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. I waited 1hr and 20mins for my food yall, no kidding. And I came in to place a to-go order. If she could get 2-3 waitresses/waiters to manage the front end of the store with it’d be golden. Again, food is outstanding but the service belongs in the deepest and hottest part of inflamed trash.

First time here and minus the long wait, the food made up for it. The plantains was delicious and different. Would stop by again to try the goat meat.

If you're looking to wait for hours for food without any empathy from the workers, this is the place to go. They'll have you waiting while people who arrive after you get their food first. They seem to have no remorse. If you can't run a business at full capacity and with the right staff, then perhaps it's best not to do it. It's important to manage according to your capabilities. Waiting for 4 hours for food is quite absurd.

Staff is rude wait is unbelievably long. After placing an order at 2:30 and being told to come back at 5:00 I came back to them forgetting to even start my order. Not only that but they were extremely rude about it and when I wanted a refund they were non apologetic. It be your own people smh.

Visited this restaurant last week but didn't end up trying it as the wait time was 1 hour. Ended up calling in an order tonight, unfortunately this was a huge disappointment.

First of all the staff is super sweet. The atmosphere is very relaxed. They play great music and they have a nice soft lighting. Let's talk about the food. I had their whole snapper. It's literally one of the best snappers I've ever had. It is flavored all the way to the bones. it is big enough for two to share and I highly recommend it. They also have some chicken that is amazing, their shrimpy, shrimp, suya is delicious too! This is a small business that is very family oriented and they seem to put people over profit and I'd love that. If you want to support something small that has some great amazing African flavors I would recommend you try out Zongo.

Waited over an hour for appetizers that never came while observing people who had takeout orders that were not prior incorrect. This was the first time ever being in a restaurant where no one had their food. Very disappointed.

A million shooting stars?????!! PLEASE understand that your food is made to order and you will be pleasantly gratified for your patience. That being said, plan to go hungry, not hangry. We had a great chat with Lori about the menu items which made ordering pretty easy. I had the fried mackerel w/collard greens…yummy & beyond! I don’t particularly like fried foods but Lori suggested it, ?!!! Mackerel was presented whole. By the time I was finished, nothing but the rib of my fish was left on my plate. Yes, incase you’re wondering, I ate the entire crispy head!!! ?Don’t judge.??”Shito & stew” were great for dipping my fish. The collard greens need a new name because these greens may be collard but nothing traditional about it. A party of spices… just the right amount of heat and cooked to that perfect green color and subtle crunch. Amazing mouth feel, I found my new comfort food! The spicy punch drink was an excellent palate cleanser, very refreshing.
