Food was really good, but they were really short staffed. I had the Shrimp Cappellini, Burrata Salad. My wife got the short rib special. We grabbed a pizza to go.

Peeved to hear the server complain about not getting tip after waiting for 5 minutes as she talks to another customer, serves other guests, and not have the decency to get me a glass of water.
I don't expect extravagant service and I was on your side but now I'm kind of empathizing with that customer if you don't greet customers the same and serve some customers before others. Weird that some automatically get a glass of water while I have to wait.

Was my fav downtown spot when I visited Houston recently for the first time. We stayed in the hotel and the views of the city were incredible!
Vegetarian options: Avocado toast was amazing, especially the toast. Omelette was good amount portion, fried potatoes was a big salty but well made!

What a pleasant what a pleasant experience, I met Joyce and Danielle almost immediately the level of customer service was beyond my expectation. They both knew to menu and we’re professional as a matter of fact 10 minutes before Joyce’s end of her morning shift she spent an additional 20 minutes with us going through the best selections and giving us an exceptional service I only wish more experiences were like this one. I’m new to Houston. and she really was an amazing professional and pleasant. But the Manager (Ms Cuz) was the most important supporter and welcome surprise; her knowledge of wine and selecting the perfect pairing definitely showed a level of satisfaction that everyone should experience at the Zutro @ Le Marinade, Houston Tx

Barri was WONDERFUL and very hospitable. Her bright and cherry personality greeted us as we entered the restaurant. She took real good care of us. The staff was very responsive and prompt. The restaurant was clean And very inviting. Food was great! Drinks even

Came for breakfast. Sat waiting for over 20 minutes to get a menu. The kids got restless and hangry. 2 year old started screaming about food and they still didn’t get it. Had to ask a manager just to get a menu.Eggs benedict finally came and was way overcooked. No water refills offered for the entire visit.Everyone finished eating and it was taking just as long to get the check. The rest of my family just had to leave while I stayed behind to wait on the check. I had to approach the counter AGAIN to get our check.My experience seems to match others on here. 1 bad review is an issue with the waiter. A system of bad reviews is a problem with the management. Don’t expect this place to change.Legend says other tables are still dehydrated and waiting for their check.

This is the harshest review I've ever left for a restaurant. While Zutro gets decent praise on Open Table, our experience was poor in comparison. When we walked into Zutro for dinner, it was like walking into a morgue. It was devoid of any activity. We stood for a second unsure if we were even in the right place. No one acknowledged our existence, offering no welcome, like four people didn't just walk into their business. I finally walked up to the bar and told them we had a reservation for dinner. The bartender looked shocked, quickly grabbed some menus and showed us to a table. A few minutes later the waitress shows up, looks at our table but doesn't come over or even say anything. Finally I wave her over and say we're ready to order. She says nothing, no welcome or introduction or acknowledgement that we exist. She quietly takes our orders and leaves. She later brings our food and drinks, not a word. When we're finished, she brings the ticket, which we split two ways. The entire time no one says anything to us. Whale the food and drinks were good, the service was the worst any of us have ever experienced.
Came here the morning after our stay at the hotel. With the suite that we had we were complimented breakfast (up to $24). The food was great, it seems our server was new and maybe that's not why he was not top tier in service. He was not attentive or warm. We had to wait a long time (20minutes) to put in our orders, to the point that there were people that were seated after us that had a different server but their orders were taken prior to ours as well as the receiving their food before us because their server did what they were supposed to do. It wasn't busy yet, it was about 8:00 a.m. and we were the second set of customers to be seated in. There were only three tables there at this time. I take a huge concern with this because the topic of tipping is a big issue, yet it seems sometimes the servers lead with the expectation that you're not going to tip generously but it's wrong to do so. Then you lose either way because you tip generously for bad service because you are sure that's the server's expectation initially. But if you tip bad because the service was bad. You make the server's assumptions valid. Can't win.
Parking: A parking lot available is across the street from the building, not in the same lot.

Dined in for Valentine's day and couldn't have asked for better experience. Food was amazing, they have nice / luxurious interior and servers were very nice. Even the chef came out to check on the food and the manager there named Barri was the sweetest and the kindest manager I've ever encountered. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back! Thank you for making our Valentine's even more memorable.
