Food was hot and fresh. Loved it. Could definitely use some new chairs, but other than that it was great.

This seems to be the only Mexican place in Hughes Springs. I remember when it was really good. Now it seems to think it’s in Argentina or some random place with runaway inflation - all these signs posted that their menu prices aren’t real. That’s kind of lame.

I think I ate Sherry’s special, chicken with rice and squash (summer squash and zucchini), covered with some kind of queso sauce. There was hardly any chicken, just four very small, thin strips.

At least the chips and salsa were good.

Food was just okay. Waitress was new but did a good job. Kids loved the chicken and fries, but the rest of the food was lack luster.

It is really sad when you take your family out to eat and before you sit down you're charged a tip because you have 4 children. This leads to poor service because they just don't care. We had several items that was cold, they then microwave it. Ask for refills they disappeared. Did not enquire how things were. Yet when we brought it up to the cashier both her and the waitress treated us rudely. Saying they couldn't do anything about it. They raised their voices to us in front of the children. We didn't think it was wrong to mention that the service was bad. We definitely won't go back.

It used to be an awesome place(one of my favorites), not anymore. About a year ago portions got smaller and food quality went down the drain. I used to be a patron for about 4 years. Stopped going there. Now it is just below average. Very sad.

Food was generally good although some of the dishes were a bit bland for normal Texas Mexican food expectations. We were a party of 12 and seating was adequate, although the solid wooden chairs were a bit hard. Our waitress was good but I thought that the kitchen was a bit slow. Prices were reasonable and there was plenty of available seating which seems normal for a Monday night. Ours was a birthday celebration and a good time was had by all.

Dropped in for lunch with a friend yesterday, I was there one other time a couple years ago. The service was really good, we were seated right away ordered food it came quickly and tasted delicious. Very fresh and healthy portions considering I ordered off lunch menu. Service was great and friendly. Loved the green salsa so much I ordered a large cup to go, along with a hearty portion of leftovers. I gave atmosphere a 4 because the bench seats in many of the booths are torn and not very comfortable. That was my only complaint. I’m vegetarian, no dairy and they had no problem adjusting my menu choices.

Off key karaoke. Utensils had a gray film like they were washed in cold water. Food was cold. They pre charged the tip when because of the service and everything else they would not have received anything but a penny.

Idk what they think they are serving but it ain’t even Tex-mex! Canned chicken on quesadillas …: idk what the queso even was!’ Fajitas../ with burned onions; that’s it..: like goodness gracious, how do they have a 4.1 rating!!! It’s hit and miss on good food there, but it’s a miss 9 times out of 10.
