One word... OUTSTANDING! We had a birthday party at 96 cafe for my hunni and had a great time this place is great ambiance, fantastic food, excellent service, and very professional staff. Lol and Winston are THE BEST!! They were a huge help in assisting with the appetizer planning. EVERYONE enjoyed the party and some stated that they plan to come back! I also plan to come back, VERY SOON. Many, many thanks ????

My first time at 96 Cafe was to see my friend Kyle Turner perform. It was stated on flyer a $10 cover charge. Ten dollars to see Kyle perform is a cover I’ll pay. Kyle is worth a $10 cover.I’ve attended two parties this month at 96 Cafe. This cafe blindsided me by adding $10 cover charge for a band I never heard of plus I was told since I was there for party they automatically added gratuity to my bill. I’ve been retired for a while, but I’m pretty sure this is illegal? I will check with department of labor.Not to mention the horrible service. Thirty plus minutes for first drink. The young man standing at door was asked by server to come clean our table. He barely touched the table. My guest and I used our napkins to clean table.I live in Humble so I was hoping this Cafe would become a place we could visit frequently, but after my last two visits, doubtful!!

Nice to have a Sunday brunch spot that serves mimosas so close to Deerbrook Mall. Great vibe & atmosphere. Love the live music as well. Will definitely be back!

We liked the place till we were charged a band fee!!! They isn’t anything on the door or website that says anything about a band fee. We came for dinner and the band happened to be there. Then we were charged a tip for slow terrible service. The band was good but we won’t be back. So sad when you try and support black owned businesses and they want to steal from you or hike prices up. My people need to do better.

they need more staff, when you are having a party of 40 or more, why put only 2 waiters that clearly did not want to be there. {they made that known}.. why would the co owners come to say is everything ok clearly it is not we have been waiting on our food for a hour and half and we see the co owners come in a hour after us and get their food.. the food was cold. the band fantastic love it!!!! but they need more help and it will be a very nice place.. the place is in a great spot to be great!

I was excited to visit this place because of the good things I had heard. Unfortunately, my visit was not good. After waiting to be seated we had to call over the waiter to take our order. Although we ordered, we had to call the bus boy to find our waiter to get our drinks. We never got our food or had anyone check on us although there were many people working. The band was entertaining and that is what kept us there. I will try again but this visit left a lot to be desired.
We finally visited the restaurant to support our black businesses. Let me say this. We don’t mind supporting anyone especially our own but The Shenanigans of our businesses is sometimes something else. We applaud the start up!…But You got to do better!!!! Charging for the band is a No No. It took our drinks 30 minutes to be made. The bartender was clapping and dancing with the band instead of making our drinks. The waiters talks in your face with masks barely on. The food was not fully cooked; it took 45 minutes. Order was wrong. The atmosphere was not very inviting. We saw staff videoing guests without a disclosure. The band was good. You all need a Singer and diversify the music,a little too old. We paid so much for the food (too expensive) the band and we were just not happy. We will not be back. Again Good job but Get it together!

It was my first visit, but definitely not my last. The ambience is good, the food was good. The shrimp and grits were so good, I ordered another serving to go. I had cheesecake for dessert. I had a Peach/Crown Royal drink …well no I had TWO??. The owners were very friendly and made recommendations when I told them of my dietary restrictions. I can’t wait to have another IAH run because I will leave enough time to go to have a meal here.
