Great place to try Peking Duck. Highly recommended! Lobsters were good but the portions seem little. Overall foods were great, definitely will go back and try other foods on the menu.

Top dishes for me are the crispy chicken, this tofu dish with mushrooms and baby bok choi, and Peking Duck.
Recently, I went and had crispy chicken, this chili bacon fried rice, and Peking Duck.
The crispy chicken is always great. I enjoy the flavor here a lot. The chicken is crispy in the outside, tender on the inside, spicy, numbing from the Szechuan, and full of flavor. The thing is... I like the same kind chicken at another restaurant better...
The fried rice was great. A lot of flavor here as well. Not as spicy as I expected but was salty, the bacon added a burst of flavor, and was not dry.
The Peking Duck unfortunately fell flat for me. The one thing I look forward to is crispy skin on a Peking Duck. Past few times I got this, this was not the case. Other than that, the duck was normal. You could get this anywhere. I remember having Peking Duck at another location with crispier skin. I think that is what makes or breaks it for me.
Anyways, I just think Bamboo House has a bit of everything but not really good at any one thing.

Not all of my wife's shrimp were deveined. The was no artificial sweetener available in the restaurant. The sesame chicken was popcorn sized with a moist crust and a runny sauce. The fried rice looks and tastes like steamed brown rice. Soy sauce is not present on all the tables. Not food I would come back for.

AMAZING!! My family and I really enjoyed our dinner at this restuarant.
The staffs were incredibly friendly and prompt in their service, making me feel completely at home. The food was delicious. All menu were incredible, so many different options and everything we indulged in was fantastic.
We highly recommend the Peking Duck (you will see in reviews that it's very popular here), Crispy Chicken and Japanese Egg Tofu with Mushroom.
Strongly recommend visiting this restaurant. We had a lovely time and plan to be back soon!

The food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to try even more of their huge diverse menu. There are so many tasty sounding items to choose from. The waitress was very attentive, and the food came out very quickly. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who likes Chinese food, especially szechaun flavors.
I lived in Beijing for over 10years, the Peking roast duck in this restaurant is authentic Beijing food I would give 5 star rate on Houston.

Terrible experience. After paying the bill and tipping, they had the nerve to refuse packing up — completely unacceptable and disrespectful. To top it off, the place was swarming with flies, making it feel filthy and unsanitary. The staff clearly don’t care about basic customer service or cleanliness. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

We came at noon and there was no wait for 4 adults. The service was good. We ordered the Peking duck and loved it! It took some time, but the server told us ahead of time, so we were able to put in an order while we decided on other items. The house combination fried rice was way too salty. Everything else was delicious (and not too salty) and big portions. The price was pretty decent too. We would come back!
