Would come back. Great prices for big portions (in my opinion it tastes great with good service.) Is quite clean. Small wait when I came in

Some of the very best Chinese food I've had in Houston. Portion sizes were huge, food was incredible and the service was top tier. Highly recommend!

The food was great and the portions were huge! I did not expect that but you definitely get you money’s worth in the amount of food you get.
They were quite busy when we went so our waitress forgot to bring our drinks right away but she was very nice and apologetic about it. Maybe having a little extra help on busy nights would help.

I recently dined at Bamboo House, and it was an outstanding experience! The highlight was definitely the half duck dish, which was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with amazing flavor. It was definitely worth every penny. My wife enjoyed a fantastic pork stir-fry and a mixed fried rice, both bursting with flavor.
I also want to mention that there's a new chef at Bamboo House, and the food has truly elevated since my last visit. Samantha, our wonderful server, remembered me and provided exceptional service.
She even guided us on how to enjoy the duck, which came with a unique combination of duck soup and pancakes. The entire meal was a delightful journey of flavors and hospitality.
Overall, Bamboo House is a must-visit if you're in Humboldt. I highly recommend it!

I ordered a Peking duck and after 50 minutes it did not arrive. When I asked the status of my order I was told they were still working on it, so I left. They need to at least give a warning if food takes an hour to be served!

Average at best. Got sweet and sour chicken and Kung pow chicken. Also got the fried rice. Smh, hardly any flavor in any of it.

I just think Houston has Terrible Chinese food all around. Don't know how these reviews can be so high. From now on will stick to Indian and Thai food

I recently dined at Bamboo House. The food was good and enjoyable, though service overall was just okay—I’ve had better elsewhere. Our experience started off a bit uncomfortable when our party of five was initially seated at a smaller table near the front lobby, which was quite cold every time the doors opened. They were eventually able to move us to a better spot, though from my perspective, the staff seemed reluctant to do so.

Towards the end of the meal, I had a frustrating and bold experience when the server asked for more tip money after seeing the signed receipt—in front of our entire party. To make matters worse, they came back to ask if everything was written down or changed. As someone who works in service myself, I understand how important tips are—but it felt rude and unprofessional to pressure a customer this way. Tipping in the U.S. is customary but optional, and servers should be appreciative of whatever tip they receive. This incident really spoiled what was otherwise a decent dining experience.

Many countries don’t use tipping at all, yet service is still valued and respected. Ultimately, a server is always better off with a tip—even a small one—than with none. A simple thank you and appreciation for the service goes a long way without making the dining experience awkward or uncomfortable.

If I could give zero stars I would. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I drive by often. The person at the front didn’t even take us into the restaurant to seat us. He stopped at the first table and asked if we would just sit there. Right by the door. Drink order was taken and that was it. The place was packed people enjoying themselves. With food, however we sat there for 20 minutes with no acknowledgment. There was a couple sitting behind us that also did not have service they went to get someone and had been sitting there a while. Left at 7:09pm drove to another restaurant seated and had hot food by 7:36pm. I know my review won’t matter. I looked at other reviews prior and was disappointed.

The floor was super slippery. The lady that waited on us didnt speak good english and rushed us to order. The soups were bland the food was super greasy. The server brought the check way before we even finished getting all of our food and togo boxes. Sub par service and food!!!! I won't go back there again!!!

We love this place. The food is so fresh and good quality. Has a very authentic taste. Definitely recommend the Beijing Duck and the house special noodles. Even the little ones enjoy it.
