The employee that served me was rude and expected me to tip him well after the service given to me, also, while paying, it said that the charges were fraud on my card.

I’ve been eating here since i was 13 years old. I haven’t visited this place for nearly 18 months.
I pulled in on a whim and to support a local business that has always been a staple in humble Texas.
But I will never be back. What the hell is this granny… where’s the meat? Where is the cheese?
This is just plane wrong.
And on top of that I paid $20 for 1 dozen 😩

Well I been going here since 2008 and they have changed locations at least three (3) times. Now the tamales aren't as good as they used to be. Wonder if they changed ownership. I don't see any of the family that worked there and said they owned it.

Ridiculously small tamales! Totally not worth the price! Also a bit too salty.
When you enter the store it has a strong odor of gas. Not pleasant. Will never go there again

I understand that the cost of pretty much everything has gone up but that doesn’t mean that the quality has to go down. This place use to be the go to spot in the area. It seems like since they expanded, the overall quality has gone down.
The taste is still good but as the pictures show, this was the standard size for each of the dozen. If I’m paying $16 a dozen then it shouldn’t look like a churro. I’ll make the drive to Alamo Tamales from now on.
Do better Granny’s.
