This place is supposed to be a buffet. Arrived yesterday at 6:00 pm. Doors locked. Could only do drive thru. This is ridiculous. We left and went somewhere else. After reading the bad reviews I'm glad we didn't eat there. Will never go back.

I just left Hartz and the Drive thru lady was EXTREMELY RUDE AND NEEDS TO TAKE A CLASS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE A WHOLE ATTITUDE BECAUSE I ASKED FOR FRESH CHICKEN!!! NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!

I cannot say one good thing about this restaurant located on the corner of Wilson road and Will Clayton. The manager deliberately ignored what I was asking for as pertaining to my order. The restroom had a “out of order sign” on it. The rolls did not look like the rolls in this picture at all. They had the texture and taste of a 3-day old roll. I asked if they still had fish and she (manager) answered that they did not have fish. However, there was a poster advertising fish and after I looked at the items presented I saw the fish on there. So I again asked her may we have fish. I asked for one entre’ with extra sides. I was delivered and charged for two entrees with extra sides. So the price doubled. I was a dine-in customer and when I asked for tartar sauce she tried to pass off little packages of tarter. To which I corrected her saying no.. as a dine in customer I wanted the tarter in a normal condiment container. When she realized that I was not happy with how she was treating me, she then began to treat me with distain and was deliberately not trying to help me with what I was asking for. I noticed that when a new customer walked in she offered help right away only he left promptly. He probably saw the rolls. I believe this was a race issue. I have not been discriminated against in awhile but this day has reminded me of how ugly some people truly are.

Ate here in September 2025 lady’s that work there stay on there iPad food is just seating there not knowing how long it been sitting there for so I ask for fresh chicken and gizzards place need some cleaning service is bad need new management or something

I ordered 2 nine piece legs and thighs for $11.99 each. That's 18 pieces of chicken for $25.99. The only gave me 14 pieces, I called got hung up on call back and a Spanish woman told me to come back tomorrow and hung up again...I may not have time to come back tomorrow.
Buffet wasn't fresh, not much fried chicken on the line. A/C was busted because of it was 90 degrees in the dining area, sodas were flat all the other sides were old and crusty looking. Not worth the price. Give this place a 1/10.

I went through the drive-thru at this location since it was the closest to my church. The lady taking my order was extremely rude and nasty in tone. This was my first experience with them and I will not be back. It was too early to start work nasty-This lady is just nasty.
*UPDATE: A group wanted to go to this same location after service the following Sunday so we went. The same lady was there working the front counter and drive-thru and was nice and accommodating during our in house visit. I believe a language barrier may have had something to do with our previous drive thru experience as a heavy accent was present and we had to keep repeating things to each other for understanding. However, we were able to see a smile in person while communicating. The facilities were very clean but both restrooms were out of order. The meats were good but the sides lacked seasoning. Thanks

I recently visit this a updated one management is rude chickens is tasteless and cooked in old grease needs more season to food never have enough choices in sides I've been to the Hartz on Uvalde rd their food is great and friendly customer service.and the management is wonderful. I thought this would have been like that restaurant since I have moved to this area but not so. Take cooking tips from them and learn customer service lessons
