So the first time I came here, I only tried the desserts, because truthfully, the rest of the food did not look good.. That was 1 to 2 years ago. I decided to go back today to try the food. Everything looked much better. Nothing looked dried out or old. I had Turkey wings with gravy, black eyed peas, macaroni and cheese, rice, sweet potatoes, stuffing and pork chops. Very good yams 🍠,Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes 🥔 and collard greens. However the chicken pieces were incredibly small! 🍗 Decent portions on everything else. I got a variety to test everything out. Catfish was okay. Good kool-aid. I did not care for the pork ribs at all 🐖. I did not like the taste, smell or texture of them. I should’ve went with the smothered pork chops. I’d come back if I was already in the area. 🥘

First time visiting This Is It Soul Food, and let me just say this place lives up to its name! The food was absolutely delicious comforting, flavorful, and cooked just right.
