First Bakfish, now Ingenious. I hate to see these cool craft breweries close their doors. I attended the Yelp Elite Event at Ingenious last year and had a blast. When I saw on IG that they were shutting down for good, I knew I had to stop by one last time. We stopped by on their final day this past Saturday. It was very crowded, but they did a great job of keeping the line moving. Ingenious is known for their sour beers. They have really unique and interesting flavors. I'm not a huge fan of sours, but I really like the sours that I've tried at Ingenious. I had the Smarty Bramble and the Smarty PB&J. The Bramble was sweet with a bit of tartness. The PB&J was actually very good! It was sweet with the berries and had a subtle nutty finish. I liked it more than I thought I would. During the Yelp event, one of the managers told us that Ingenious Beer is sold at H-E-B, Twin Liquors, and Total Wine. I'm not sure if they have any beer left in stores, but it may be worth checking if you want to stock up because they were still bottling beer last week. To the craft beer lovers out there, go support your local microbreweries!

Oh Ingenious, I just made it to you and now you're closing down! Yesterday was their last day in business and I'm already going to miss them. I'm hoping these last minute reviews and all the love they got yesterday may resurrect them in the near future. I've had many of their beers over the years and have always loved everything I've had. They specialize in sours and flavored stouts which happen to be my go to type of beers. Their sours are true to their names and descriptions. For example, I had their Smart (PB&J) which tasted like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Sounds like an odd flavor for a sour, but OMG, it was absolutely delicious. They perfected their flavors and just put out amazing drinks. On their last day, this place was packed to the brim. Full of Ingenious lovers. Everyone was buying out their inventory and enjoying the space. Who knows, maybe we'll see them again at some point. Cheers to the good times Ingenious, it's been real!

I hardly ever write reviews, good or bad. But man, I have to say something here. If you're looking for tasty craft beers, they have got you covered. I'm sure their music bingo nights are fun with a big crowd. But there were three small groups the evening a friend and I went - two of which were at the bar (4 people total!) - and after ordering the first flight of beers there was ZERO interaction. Zero eye contact so I could even say we were interested in trying more. It was literally like we were not there yet we were right in front of them. Are they really that bad at service, or did they not want us there (dressed in business casual clothes after business meetings for the day)? Either way, not good. They're either poor hospitality workers or reverse snobs. Again, beers...fine. Not great but decent. But the "service" was not just bad, it was non existent. There are hundreds of craft breweries in my home town. Never had as bad or zero service as we did at this place. When we walked to the car afterwards, without prompting, the other person in my party said, "they sucked."Perhaps they were having an off night. I'll never know, as I'll never go back.Life is too short for mediocrity. Be better.

Ingenious is one of my favorite breweries in the Houston area! They ALWAYS have something fun going on be it music bingo, a themed trivia, costume contest, whatever. I loved their Mean Girls trivia a few months back and how many events are always on their calendar. They are super dog & kid friendly. There's a decent sized patio outdoor area with picnic tables and an activity area with cornhole. We take our pups on occasion - they had a blast at the Halloween party! The food trucks are usually really good, I will say a lot of the options are pretty unique food items - so if you're an adventurous foodie, this spot is right up your alley. The beer is super good (& most are strong ABV so be warned ) they always have impressive/unique flavors. Only thing is, once they're out - they're out! I had to stock up on multiple cans of "King Cake" for this reason. Parking is easy. It's a bit hard to find at first, given the location is in an industrial office lot but you'll see their patio & the food trucks. Clean bathrooms & super nice bartenders! I highly recommend Ingenious - the name says it all!

Honestly fairly lackluster. They only had IPAs and fruited sours on tap. No lagers, stouts, porters, kölsch, blondes, or actual sours. Not worth the drive to Humble.

If you enjoy stouts, sours, or IPAs then this is the best brewery in town. Most evenings have a vendor or food truck which circulate on a weekly basis.

My fav brewery in the Humble area. It always has unique beers. I especially like their sours and beer toppers.

The atmosphere here is very fun. They are pet friendly, even inside, we saw a couple of dogs sitting with their humans. That was a pleasant surprise. The beer prices were reasonable and my hubs liked all of them that he tried. We will be back for one of the trivia or bingo nights for sure.

I can't complain about the double IPA I just picked up here (cans, "New England" hazy style, called "Double Juicy"). Hoppy, "thick", "dank" (dank in a deep, slighty mouth puckering stone fruit ish sense. Not particularly "easy". I bet on tap would be a better starting place for the inexperienced.I know they have sweet stouts and other treats, but I was here for this.4.25 stars for me based just on this one beer and pleasant, clean brew pub. However, not wife-approved: she didn't light up on the sip and just said, "it's ok..."

Great spot to hangout and taste a variety of beers.

I was charged an EXTRA gratuity without being asked or approved. I didnt find out until I saw the charge on my bank account. Call me old fashioned but I call that theft. I contacted their customer service and they said, "every advertisement got that event mentioned the added gratuity." I didn't see these said advertisements. When I responded with that they have nothing else to say. The correct thing would have been to notify customers at checkout. I should have filed a fraudulent charge.

Holy cow! Just tried the adult icarus and it is probably the most amazing IPA I’ve had in a while! This one needs to go nationwide!

Great beer! Good spot to get your craft craving fix. The beer really lives up to the name. Recommend!

Always great beer and love the atmosphere. There is plenty of room inside and outside options available as well. They offer plenty of board games and a few arcade games. There is a bunch of events they offer (triva night, yoga, etc). Great for children to attend with parents as well. Also, there us usually a food truck!
