We went today to have ribs, drinks and watch the Olympics. Along with three other groups (13 people), we got turned away even though they had lots of empty tables! We were told we would stay too long! Will never go back!!!

on to the food; they have a great variety of Mexican and limited American food. something for everyone, even picky eaters like me. :)
the surf and turf nachos are excellent, food is always hot, and fresh. and the churros? oh man I could easily order a dz and eat them. So if you're looking for a friendly, customer orientated, and great place for some food , definitely give them a try. it's a family affair there, and I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed! thank you again young man ( who answered phone and then was nice enough to remake then deliver my order right before closing. You are such a great young man, and I will be ordering direct from the store next time. I really appreciate you and the cook!

What a disappointment experience at the Cypress location. My friend & I went to celebrate Cinco de Mayo & we were welcomed with an unkind & bothered bartender. First, we order two margaritas & we were presented with plastic cup filled a 1/4 of the way. We asked why it was given that way & he didn’t bother to answer because he was “busy.” As time went by we were approached by the marachi who was playing there. They came to us “senoritas” & asked if we had a song to request, which was $10 per song request. My friend out in her request & it was performed & then was told by a different member from the marachi “it was $20 because it was for both of us.” I tried to argue with him & he was very bothered that we were not wanting to pay him. My friend felt really uncomfortable so she paid. After all that we wanted to order two watermelon candy shots since we saw others ordering & it was Cinco de Mayo so why not? We did ordered it to a different bartend(because the first one was nowhere to be found) the order came with ONE plastic 1/4 cup filled drink with a lollipop in the wrapper. I looked at it & looked at the ones around & asked the bartender why we had gotten something the same & he said “oh that’s only for company” I replied “well this is not what I expected when I order TWO watermelon candy shots” (I have ordered these in the past at el Torito locations) he was taken back because “I didn’t want it” & I said “no, it is not what I ordered, had I been explained the difference I would have not bothered.” He took it & threw it away. We order tacos got our food & wrapped it up because we were both annoyed by all this. So we asked for the bill & on the receipt they were charging me for the TWO watermelon candy shots. I argued with a different guy telling him what happened he came back & said “ok” I paid & left. The experience for a Cinco de Mayo was horrible. How does el Torito advertise a celebration with drinks & want to serve it in plastic 1/4 filled cups. That just seems like false advertisement & the staff was rude & bothered. I will not be recommending this for any celebrations due to the service & quality. Totally ruined our after work experience to celebrate & it being teacher appreciation week & we are teachers, it was ruined with all that. Very disappointing.

Bro I ordered the menudo today it had a long blonde hair in it lol obviously a Mexican didn’t make the food and it didn’t taste like it either only tasted a spoon. Ni el caldo del menudo tiene sabor wey if y’all need an authentic Mexican to show you how it’s done hmu. I haven’t found a real authentic restaurant in htown how do y’all live??
