Terrible experience! I ordered two large bowls but only received one. The restaurant promised to make it right with a free large bowl next time, but when I went back, they gave me just a small bowl of meat. That’s not what they promised — very dishonest and unprofessional. I will never come back again.

This is my first time at Teriyaki Madness and most likely my last. When I entered the establishment, everything was fine and Kara at the register was really kind and made my experience great! After ordering my food and waiting, a different lady (Kristina) called my name and I got up to get my food and noticed she had got up and handed an order to a different customer. Not thinking anything of it, I was looking around to see who called my name and where my order was. I then approached Kristina and she looked at me like I was out of place and said, “can I help you?”. So I told her how my name had just been called so in that moment the other customers let her know that they received the wrong order, so she got up and said well, “Who’s … (the name she previously called)” and I annoyingly looked at her like, “Me! Duh!” I am typically not the one to nitpick but the whole encounter was off and made me feel unsettled. For future reference, if you call someone’s name, give them a chance to get up and retrieve their order. Don’t automatically assume that it’s someone else’s order. Plus she was distracted on her laptop doing other work (not sure if it’s work-related). I won’t leave a rate for the food, as I haven’t eaten it yet…

Please see all updates for an honest review.
Thoughts, when a customer calls up due to there order being incorrect, maybe don’t blame them for grabbing the wrong order(especially when you handed it to them).
Secondly, at least apologize before you make said customer drive back and bring you the incorrect bowl in order to get the correct one.
Thirdly, at least offer something for the inconvenience(transparency, if they had felt genuinely bad about the situation from the start I would’ve turned it down, mistakes happen).
Furthermore when the customer leaves with the correct order, the least you could do is assure it’s good food and not dried out.
$33 wasted, food in trash. You took advantage of me!
Update: thanks for reaching out, I guess? No offer to refund or replace huh? Food still in trash can where it belonged if you want it back. Sincerity goes further than lip service.
Thanks anyway, I’m sure if you spoke to your franchise business coach they would’ve offered a different approach to handling the situation
Final update: the GM reached out and took care of me. Good on you for “running into the fire” and for coaching your team. You win the day!
