I’ve been a LOYAL Shrimp Net customer for well over 10 years, since they were only a little shed on the side of the road along 1960. Having have been a New Orleans native, seeing a shack on the side of the road with just ice chests full of the freshest seafood felt like home. My hometown, Chalmette, was a big shrimping community with shrimp boats lining the bayou on the drive into my town. Seeing shrimpers selling off excess shrimp, blue crab, and catfish they caught was the only way I knew to buy fresh seafood. Since then Shrimp Net moved to “brick and mortar” but are still the ice chest service I expect. Highly respectful, acknowledges loyal customers, and the best, freshest seafood available north of I-10. And let’s not forget the best quality crawfish and live oysters!

Went here yesterday to buy catfish. The ppl were very nice and I thought it was odd that they were in a small business office type setting. Anywho the catfish I assumed I was buying was in a bag in a cooler. I didn’t question it at all which was my fault. I also didn’t open the bag to see what I was buying, my fault also. I woke up this morning to find out that it wasn’t catfish I purchased from them but indeed SWAI!!!! I was mad at first but I still gotta feed my family so needless to say I won’t be returning back to purchase anything from them again
