Me and my husband came here 2 months before our weddyand completed a cake tasting. The cakes were very tasteful. We were told to come back 4 weeks before the wedding to pay our deposit and pick out all the details for his wedding cake which was a round cake with a drum set on top! We came and made the final arrangements and PAID the deposit for the cake. Since it was only one cake she stated we should just pick the cake up instead of delivery. We AGREED although we planned to have everything delivered. We just went along with her! We told her that we will communicate with her if we needed the cake to be change to delivery but if you do not hear anything from us we will be keeping it as pick up. Everything will REMAIN the SAME. On the day of my wedding 11/14/20 I sent my friend to go and pick up the grooms cake and let's just say I receive a call stating there was NO grooms cake for us on our wedding day! I was very upset and was told she did not make the cake because she did not know if we were PICKING the cake up or if it was beings DELIVERED. Mind you we provided her with a deposit (Not no $20 more like $150) to have the cake made. (Deposit was returned to my friend for me before leaving that same day) The company could have reached out to us but NO. They just decided to not make the cake at all. So we were left going to pick out a plain sheet cake from Sam's Club for the groom on our wedding day! Thank you Yongs Bakery for not attempting to make the ordered cake!

I want to say this bakery is awesome. I live in Virginia close to DC. My daughter just moved to Houston TX. I wanted to do something special for her birthday Dec 4th. I love the personal service. I ordered the cake from Ms. Yongs bakery and the cake was delivered to my daughter on time. My daughter loved the cake. My daughter just landed in Virginia yesterday and I made sure she brought me a butter pound cake from Ms Yongs. I have been eating this cake nonstop. It is so moist and not to sweet. The flavor is amazing. I can't wait to taste the lemon cake. Thanks Ms. tong and family

I come here all the time juat for a slice of strawberry cake. My mom stop making specialty cakes so I had to use Yongs Bakery for my kids bday party. The cake I found a picture of I wanted those colors and the tall 3 layer cake to put on the sweets table. They made the cake exactly how I wanted it down to pearl and conderei sprinkles like the picture I submitted to them. Not to mention the cake was so delicious and moist with buttercream icing. It needed no fondant icing. Perfect will order again or just go there for my strawberry slice of cake.

Do not allow the Internet hype to sway you to do business with Yong’s Bakery. The entire experience was completely unprofessional and literally wreaked of weed. My friend ordered a two tiered cake and smash cake for her one year olds birthday. The cake was done sloppily but that wasn’t the worst part. Once we got the cake home, we were met with the stench of marijuana. Once we called them to tell them the cake was contaminated they apologized for the “inconvenience” and said they would refund us (we both paid for the cake) $30 on a $250 cake during a pandemic. We had to get a whole new cake elsewhere because at this point we don’t know if they coughed on the cake, spit in the cake or whatever other unclean, non standard food safety practices were conducted near the cake. The “refund” of $30 also never happened.

The caramel butter pecan pound cake is sooo good! The customer service is great. I placed an order through Uber eats. They called and let me know that a slice I ordered was not available. I picked replacement and they even added an extra slice for the inconvenience!

First time trying Yongs and I have to say that red velvet cake slice was heaven. Super moist and the icing wasn't overly too sweet. Will definitely be my go to whenever I'm having that red velvet craving.
