C.A.T. Cafe Bakery - Coffee, Art, Tea

the building is an old sheriff's office and jail. the rehab work is top notch and the food is just as good. I'm not sure what my wife ordered because i was busy reading up on the history of the building and checking out the art from local artists. there's a small dining area where we say and enjoyed a number of different muffins, (it's all pastries, muffins, and such) scones, and chicken cheese and bacon breakfast roll/pastry. it was ALL absolutely delicious! and after we finished eating, the owner sat with us for about 30 minutes recounting the renovations and some cool ghost stories! it was awesome!

she actually does ghost tours of the jail, cemetery, and other spooky haunts for parties of 2-10, which we're on scheduling soon.

all in all, this was an amazing experience and the food was top notch. do yourself a favor and drop by... you WON'T be disappointed!

I visited for the first time a week ago and learned of all the vegan menu items and accommodations that can be made. I tried the Rosemary Garlic Focaccia Bread with Italian Herb Oil and the Blackberry Raspberry Layered Lemonade with the popping boba...the bread was warm, fluffy and flavorful, I'm a big lemonade lover so I was just the happiest to drink it, it was refreshing and the flavors went really good with each other.

Experience the vibe while tasting unique delicious treats! Off the beaten path right in the heart of the city, in the historic old city jail. Stories can unfold sipping on matcha and snacking on sea salt n caramel cookies or raspberry n white chocolate scones, just to name a few delights that are out of this world. Hats off to you gals for the harmonious balance you lovingly share in such an eclectic blend of the past and present!

Great food options, with allergy and dietary labels. Lots of delicious vegan options, excellent coffee, and an absolutely amazing tea selection. Everyone was incredibly friendly and well-versed on the menu options, and the art is beautiful

I found C.A.T. while searching local bakeries in the area that would deliver some sweet treats. I’m not in the area so everything was handled over the phone and text and the experience was seamless. They have top notch service and were extremely accommodating to any requests I needed. They were also communicative. I’d definitely be trying this again!

The staff here are amazing. I got a blended lemonade with a shot of happy! I will be back, next time im in town.

I was craving some baked goods and this location popped up. The lady was super sweet and helpful with recommendation. There are various options.The lemon poppyseed pastry was delicious with good balance of sweetness. Everything is homemade!

Came by for breakfast with some friends that live out of town, and everyone who works here is so nice! Great service, wonderful food, and really cute decor :)
Helpful to know that the building doesn't really have a designated parking lot, but there's plenty of parking nearby!

If you enjoy SWEET you will likely enjoy the cafe. They arent kidding when they say SWEET tea. The pinwheels are delish, the pizza ones balance the sweet dough best imo. The prison ones arent very spicy, just a lil jalapeno for flavor. I can see how their cookies and cupcakes and such would be delicious and wish i had grabbed a cookie alongside the personal mimosa cake we got for my husbands bday, just wasnt the vibe for me. Lovely place, beautiful offerings in jewelry etc, will certainly return to buy a few xmas gifts.

Very interesting history for this cafe, staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! They offer food options that are unique to Huntsville TX!

I discovered C.A.T. cafe not shortly after I moved here last year. Subsequently, I also was diagnosed with cancer and was not able to go out and grab food. I began ordering from CAT when I was home from treatment. You can literally taste the goodness in each bite. Fresh ingredients, homemade with love is something C.A.T cafe should be proud of! Thanks for being an awesome part of my journey to recovery!

One of the best bakery and coffee shop experiences ive ever had! The owner, Cat, was extremely knowledgeable and with a great attitude. She introduced us to the best cake ive ever had and a delicious chocolate coffee drink that ive never seen or experienced.

Don't order Margaret's Cake. It sounds amazing, but was dry, too dense, and way over priced. If you want delicious white cake, go to farm house
