This place has exquisite food. They get busy sometimes. Chef straight up made me salsa from scratch in 5 minutes cause I asked for some!!!
Cannot express how good it was!!!
Also, the assistant manager was super nice and took our table due to how backed up the waitresses were.

The food is alright, atmosphere and museum part is also cool! Going there as a guest is fine, but this review is regarding as an employee. This might be one of the most unprofessional work environments I have ever been told. I want to start off by saying I have not worked here before, but my source is a former employee. The managers name is Tiffany and she has terrible communication from all the stories I’ve been told. Some examples include yelling at her employees, being completely bipolar, and having terrible communication through text. She will not respond to a single text you send and if she does respond, she will read it and respond hours later in a very unprofessional manner. I would avoid working here, you’ll make good money but not for long before Tiffany pushes you out and gives no reason for it!

The Cafe is a small quant location that is welcoming. Staff was friendly. The menu is simple which makes it easy to choose. We went in for breakfast and it was delicious. 3 pancakes were large with an added side of bacon completed the dish. Poached egg was cook the right amount and the potato patty was more than expected. Prices were reasonable and the food was served quickly.

Texas food with a small museum attached
Eclectic history
I’d really like to give this place 5 stars, as I would have always done in its old guise, but I can’t, I’m afraid. The new sleek look is well an’all, but the service ain’t great and the food is consistently under temperature, even when it’s not busy. It’s nice, but it could be so much better in substance, versus just style.

By far the best breakfast I've ever had on all accounts. I'm not a big biscuit eater but these biscuits were amazing! Definitely get a side order of the sausage gravy for them and you will thank me later. The chicken fried steak was enormous and delicious. Something I've never mentioned on a review before is the taste of the coffee but I have to mention that on this one because it was some of the best coffee I've ever had especially at a cafe. But by far, my favorite were the hash brown balls or whatever they call them. Gooey with cheese and bell pepper and a meal Within themselves. If you are anywhere in the area within 20 minutes I highly recommend this for your next breakfast stop. I do not believe they take reservations and the place can fill up but it's worth the wait.
Haven't been here in over a decade. The food was good, staff was friendly, and the museum next door was awesome. Will have to stop by again.
Didn't go it closed at 2pm

I didn’t get to try the food because it was closing, but the place looks really cool, love it. We’ll have to come back from Houston again!
Food, service and atmosphere were perfect for this rainy day!
We arrive 30 min before closing so I get they were trying to finish the day. However, the crab cakes were mushy and cool in the center. The burger was over cooked and the fries WAY over salted. We’ve been here in the past and were delighted with everything! Today was a total bust for us
UPDATE!! They did adjust the bill and I left my glasses on the table and they chased me down to give them back to me. So it wasn’t all bad!
Had a great breakfast here. Waitress was attentive. Coffee was hot and delicious. Be sure to check out the museum room next door.
Parking: On a Sunday morning there was plenty of parking if you don’t mind walking across the street.

Food and wait staff were excellent. Beautiful and comfortable dining room. Extra amenity of a world historical museum in a separate room off of the dining room. Lots of interesting artifacts and information so make some time to check it out ❣️
