Oh yeah! You want good, classic BBQ served by down to earth people...this is your spot. The chopped beef sandwich was spot on. Brisket was tender and the bbq sauce is delightful. You will not go wrong stopping by here.

This has always been the BEST barbecue around. I don’t know what happened but Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 I bought two plates. A double rib plate for my wife and a rib and brisket plate for myself. I brought them home to eat. My wife got five ribs. Four were so tough that she could not eat them. The other one had very little meat on it and it was somewhat tough. My plate had three ribs on it. None could be eaten they were so tough. The brisket was excellent. The beans were ok. The potato salad had raw crunchy potatoes in it.We were super disappointed.

If you are from Texas or any other place where barbecue is like super smoked really this is not the place. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was excellent. The cashier was amazing but when I got back to my hotel room, I ordered a baked potato stuffed baked potato with barbecue chicken and I’ve never had anything like this in my life. This was I’m so sorry it was disgusting. It was gross. The meat had no smoke flavor. I was looking for a barbecue baked potatoes smoked meat. This taste like ummm well it didn’t have a flavor at all and I’m not kidding. So if you’re touring or if you’re visiting this will not be the place for you to go for barbecue IF you’re from Texas I’m only speaking to my Texas folks because we know how we like our barbecue and the baked potatoes were so small. I should’ve taken a picture. In Texas, Oh my gosh it takes up the entire plate. The cashier told me oh yeah, we have large potatoes. Oh my gosh this was the smallest potato and I didn’t need a big potato but I’m just saying it was so small , just FY

Love the strong smell of smoky BBQ inside the old building... Reminds me of Louie Mueller in Taylor... The ribs were very good and the pinto beans were excellent... Tables are vintage with advertisements from businesses of the past ;) one of which I used to work at...Parking: Parking is tricky... It's in the back but you need to know how to get to it...

Do not skip the RIBS here. We found this spot by accident and got 2-meat plates which were already excellent. Then the owner came by our table with a sample of the ribs, juicy and flavorful. Sweet tea was great as well, and we were more than happy to support this hidden gem. We'll be stopping here on every Huntsville visit from now on.

Definitely a hidden gem. This food hit every time. I've had the brisket, chicken, sausage. Most BBQ places around TX fail when it comes to the sides but not here. Do yourself a favor and get the brisket Mac and cheese. And the owner is an absolute sweetheart. Her and her family/staff offer great service and personalities

Wow what a jem! We had the brisket and the ribs and both my husband and I loved them. My husband is a barbecue chef himself and not easy to please. Be sure to try the pecan pie.
