We had an great experience. The atmosphere was good, and the staff took great care of us from start to finish. The food came out quickly, and everything was packed with flavor — especially the enchiladas and the fresh-made salsa. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and feel genuinely appreciated as a customer. Highly recommend!
The service is awesome and the waiter was very attentive. The food was amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant

I was a guest at an event there, so the menu was narrowed. The food was good, but I grew up in San Antonio, so high praise for Mexican food is hard to come by from me. It was decidedly good.
I've lived in Hurst for almost 10 years and never went to Abuelo's. I tend to prefer more relaxed destinations. The service was attentive due to it being an event. The turn-out for the event was high, so the room was quite full, and seating felt cramped.
The place looks very nice, and at a table for two I'm sure it would be fine. What I can say from my visit is that I'm not really qualified to make a recommendation, as I don't think I gave them a fair shake.
Maybe I'll try them again, so I can give a fair assessment.
Hour server was very attending to us.
And the food was delicious 😋

Love going to this place with my big family! The food is fairly priced and big portions. I usually get the grande plate and always end up taking it home! Once there was a mistake made and the waiter took the food back to the kitchen to get it fixed. He was nice about it. Great food and service!

Food was OK — nothing out of the ordinary compared to any other Mexican/American restaurant. I wouldn’t consider this place to be 100% authentic Mexican food. We were a family of four, ordered four drinks and a family meal, and paid around $100 with tip. The price wasn’t bad, but the food just didn’t feel fully authentic or impressive. Overall, I’d rate it about 50%.

Overall everyone enjoyed their meals. I ordered the triple feast fajitas and all of the meats (chicken, steak, shrimp) tasted wrong and they coat them in some type of sauce. Was unable to bring myself to eat any of it.

The food was excellent upon my eating at Abuelo's yesterday. The plate was hot and the Chili Relleno keeps me coming back to this restaurant. The server who waited on my table was name Monica! She was an exceptional server who described the plates on the menu and did with a smile. I want to shout out to Monica!
