The cause of this unusual attire? A lost Super Bowl bet that led to a good-natured yet highly embarrassing promise: to enjoy lunch with his dad while dressed as a radiant bride. Mitch a bearded man in a wedding dress due to a lost bet is humiliated in public. Despite the awkward situation, the staff at Italianni's played along beautifully, adding to the fun and light-hearted spirit of the day. Mitch, although blushing and sheepish in his bridal gown, was an excellent sport, embodying the saying that a bet is a bet, with all the grace and humor one could muster. “Ok, so this place is what some might call a “hole in the wall.” Anyone who’s ever eaten at a true hole-in-the-wall knows that’s usually a very good thing.

The food is great.

My wife is Salvadoreña, so I’m probably a little biased about what makes a really good pupusa. Theirs were good, but the filling tasted a little more like it was sitting inside the masa rather than becoming part of one unified bite. They didn’t quite fuse into that soft, balanced texture that a truly great pupusa has. You generally shouldn’t see the filling separating from the masa when you bite into it or “butterfly” it open to add curtido, the lightly pickled Salvadoran cabbage slaw traditionally served with pupusas.

That said, they were still tasty and clearly made with care.

Now let me say this: I tried several different meat preparations there, including shrimp, and every one of them was excellent. I don’t know exactly what marinade or seasoning blend they use, but it is fantastic. This was actually my second visit, and those dishes are what brought me back. The second trip absolutely held up.

My wife and I also ordered the plantains and fried yuca. The Salvadoran crema — a soft, silky cream sauce with a flavor somewhat like cream cheese, but richer and deeper — was excellent with the plantains, though honestly it pairs well with almost everything there.

The prices were reasonable too.

One thing I always look for in a good hole-in-the-wall is whether working-class locals actually eat there regularly. This place passed that test easily. You see young and old customers coming in for lunch breaks, after work dinners, or meals with family and friends. That usually tells you everything you need to know. The food is hearty, flavorful, and clearly supported by a loyal customer base that probably judges it against home cooking.

That’s a very good sign.

“2.5/5 stars The problem is the service and food level deterioration as the lunch buffet window, 1130-230, progresses into the later portions. The first and previous time, we hit the buffet right at opening at 1130 am. Everything was hot, fresh, and plentiful. Was really impressed with staff, decor, and ambience. Food was well above average. It's clear they are trying very hard. My/our 2nd visit, party of 3, was at ~130 pm. Few items were out. Sadly, the other 2 in the party found the experience below my earlier top billing. Most of my fav dishes: The few tandoori chicken remaining were stone cold. The butter chicken ran out. The goat curry ran out the 2nd trip to the table. What came subsequently was not the same taste, subpar. Perhaps the management can address these issues and consider this as genuinely helpful feedback. Restaurant biz is notorious for these issues that slowly creep in. I did note the manager talk and motion to his employee to keep up with replenishment in a timely manner on my request. Given the great first visit, and two carry-outs from their 2nd location, we would consider another review after management addresses these issues. The most recent visit was a letdown. Cheers!!”

“We just tried El Patriota for the 1st time today, and we loved it!! It is a small shop with BIG sandwiches that are absolutely delicious. I had the Patriota and my wife had the Tripleta. Both were fantastic. This is a definite keeper.”

“I went to Red Panda on Monday, 11-17-25. I had egg soup the first time I went and this was my second time going. I had the egg soup again and the chicken fried rice. It was simply delicious!! They served with excellence every customer. It was a pleasant relaxing environment as well. The music was just right and not too loud like some places you go too. People could sit and talk and enjoy their meal. I did the lunch special which is a savings!! I will be back!!”

“I love this place. For anyone who has had a negative experience here I would suggest that you give them another try because I can guarantee you that bad experienced here are few and far between. Not only is food always super fresh and delicious but the portions are very generous. Especially the burritos. Their chili relleno burrito is the best and biggest burrito that I’ve ever had and it’s only 4.50. You could buy nothing but two burritos and feed a family of four. I also love that they stay open so late. I happen to be out and about late tonight and around 11 pm I had a serious craving for good TexMex and this place didn’t disappoint. I had the giant chili relleno burrito and I also got nachos with a side of rice and beans and it’s enough for a few meals but I couldn’t make up my mind and have plenty of yummy leftovers. I topped it off with a large horchata and it just made my night. I plan to continue to eat here and I tell everyone that I know in the area about it all of the time.”

“I came here around 630 p.m. and I noticed a long line forming at the drive-thru. I thought for sure there would be a long wait at the counter.
I'm happy to say that wasn't the case. I received my order less than 7 minutes after placing it. I ordered a #1 combo and it was delicious. This hit the spot after leaving the movie theater. I just love their crinkle cut fries and the food was hot and fresh.”

“Came for Karaoke Night Friday 6/5. It was fun and lively. We ordered the Margarita flight that one waitress recommended and she knew EXACTLY what she was talking about! It tasted so good and I swear I took flight 😂 right up on that stage and sang my heart out. I lost my mom 2 years ago this month and THIS really helped me through this hard time. The atmosphere was very welcoming. There are 2 unisex restrooms conveniently located next to the bar, both clean. The tacos were delicious. The Carne Asada, Brisket, and chicken were very tender. The service was a bit slow but otherwise fine. The staff was very knowledgeable, helpful and upbeat. Definitely recommend for anyone. Check out their Facebook page!”

I wouldn't have even stopped by if it wasn't, yes just going for the free strip. So I called to let them know in a fun way...are y'all forgetting to give the free chicken strip?! Anyway, they made up for it. They also gave me a sweet tea when I ordered an unsweet tea but didn't know that till after I got home, added stevia to my tea, took a sip & it was overly sweet!! Not good! But they did correct it more than they should have, so all is good & happy.”

“I was in the middle of a family emergency and stopped to get food for my young granddaughter during 5:00 crowd on my way to pick her up. The Manager was training someone so I politely explained I needed to hurry. He helped me pick a kids meal because I couldn't think straight. He could tell I was rattled. He shared a brief story of a similar emergency he recently went through with a happy ending to give me comfort. He was so kind. He wouldn't accept payment and said he hoped everything turned out good. Two other employees wished me a blessed day before I could leave. I had never gone into a Chil-fil-A before, but it was like a religious experience! My finicky 2 year old granddaughter loved the meal and the book included with the meal. Their mac & cheese is her absolute favorite
