My husband and I stopped in today as one of us wanted breakfast and the other lunch, but then we both ended up with breakfast. I had the pecan pie waffles and it was the best waffle I've ever had. Loved the bottomless big cups of coffee. All around outstanding meal and service!!

If you like good home style comfort food at good prices then Brookside Cafe is for you. First time customer. I will be back. I did the turkey club with fries. I got a huge turkey club on toasted wheat fully dressed. Fries were delicious! The menu has many, many choices. Highly recommend.

What's swinging simians!? If you're looking for the best chicken fried steak in HEB, look no further. I've done the homework and had the rest of everyone else's chicken fried steaks in the area, and by far, this has been the best! The crunch of the breading, texture of the beef, and the viscosity of the gravy were ALL PERFECT. The over easy eggs, hashbrowns, and pancakes that accompanied my chicken fried slice of gold couldn't have been cooked any better....
