I recently discovered Asahii, a newly opened restaurant in Hurst, Texas, and it’s already one of my favorite spots in town. Opened just a few months ago by the incredibly talented and sweet owner, Jen, a Thai immigrant with a passion for flavor and creativity, Asahii brings something truly special to the local food scene.
We started with the pork egg rolls, beef tataki, and avocado blossoms – all absolutely fantastic. The egg rolls were crisp and flavorful, the beef tataki was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the avocado blossoms were a standout.
The sushi rolls was another highlight, especially the signature rolls created by Jen herself. Fresh, bold, beautifully plated — you can tell a lot of thought and heart went into every roll.
They also serve authentic Thai dishes, ramen, and a lunch bento box special, giving you plenty of variety whether you're in the mood for comfort food or something lighter and refreshing.
Asahii is still new, so food and service may take a little extra time, especially during busy hours — but trust me, it’s totally worth the wait. The care they put into every dish and the genuine hospitality from Jen and her team make it a place you'll want to come back to again and again.

The good and atmosphere is incredible. I have tried just about everything on the menu and it’s all been fantastic. They also specialize in customization, so if it’s not in the menu, they will be more than happy to accommodate you. Great dining experience.

Had the best lunch ever! The hot & Sour soup is by far the BEST i have ever had;And I ordered chefs choice sashimi which was thick cut and so fresh! I was highly satisfied and cant stop thinking about it.

Restaurant is under new ownership and management as of April 2025 and is knocking it out of the park! We enjoy the sushi bar experience because we order in stages, starting out with the very delicious miso soup and then progressing to various yummy rolls and fresh sushi. All portions are generous and beautifully presented. We also ordered several items to take home such as teriyaki chicken (with ample amounts of chicken) with hibachi vegetables as well as orange chicken. It’s a delightful, friendly atmosphere. We have a soft spot in our hearts for family- owned businesses and this is no exception. We’ll definitely be back!
