This place used to be great but quality has gone down hill. The rolls are loosely wrapped on a consistent basis. The chicken teriyaki was fatty and without good flavor.
Will say that the servers are always excellent though!

I had to go into the big city (Austin Tx) for some medical appts and on my way back home (1.45hr drive) I got hungry, I decided for Sushi. Found this restaurant using my Maps app and it was the best recommendation while driving into Hutto Tx. I decided to stop here before driving all the way home. The service was great got seated immediately, the food was freshly made and amazing! The atmosphere was relaxing! The staff were awesome and helpful. If I go back to the big city, I will make sure to stop at this location on my way back home.

A hidden gem in round rock! The food is fantastic, the fish is always so fresh. The lunch special is definitely the move. It’s always packed! If that’s not your jam, there are private rooms too. And the service is awesome, special shoutout to Dom, Josh, and Allan! If in doubt, you can’t go wrong with the Alaskan roll or the salmon teriyaki.

Had this a couple times and it was okay, but this time we ordered the cucumber salad and it was straight up pickles. Like from jar! I had the Ramen and they really didn’t give much broth. For the price I don’t think I’ll order here again.

So cute and intimate. Happy hour specials are amazing. Sashimi is fresh and cut well. Rolls are amazing. My husband is notoriously picky and still gave a 9/10.

Sushi Zoa delivers on freshness, speed, the price and friendly service. The staff is genuinely nice and the service is impressively quick — perfect for a lunch break or an easy dinner out. The menu has great variety with some creative rolls and good options for everyone.

The space itself is very clean (which I appreciate for sushi!), but the atmosphere could use a bit more warmth. The white hard benches make it feel more sterile than cozy — not exactly a spot you’d want to linger for hours.

Overall, if you’re looking for tasty affordable sushi, fast service, and a tidy spot, Sushi Zoa checks the boxes. Just don’t expect a super cozy vibe — come for the food, not the ambiance.

I and my cousin had lunch at Sushi Zoa this afternoon, and it was honestly one of the most disappointing sushi experiences I've had over the past 3 decades of trying different places in several states. We ordered the Firecracker roll and the Signature roll. You could not see nor taste the spicy scallops or deep fried soft shell crab in the respective rolls. The Firecracker roll was not in the least bit spicy and tasted like an imitation crab meat roll in an undesirable sauce. Likewise, the Signature roll tasted like an imitation crabmeat roll topped with avocado in an eel sauce. The spicy scallops and soft shell crab should have been the stars of these rolls, and from appearance and taste were absent, yet the rolls were priced at a level for these premium ingredients. They essentially both tasted like California rolls in not so desirable sauces. In addition, all of the booths have straight concrete like backs and seats with zero padding and are not comfortable to stay in for long, and the bathroom cleanliness is nominal. The only reason I gave this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1, is because the staff were pleasant and attentive, but not overbearing. I do not recommend this place if you desire good sushi.

The first time I visited was great. Each time after the quallity has dropped. I visited today and it wasn't very good. I ordered the chef's 10 piece special and was disappointed. I ordered Unagi and Anago for the final. Anago was nasty and Unagi was small and just ok. I can't see ever going to Zoa again. Servers were great!

We ordered Chirashi Don, Zoa roll, & O-toro Sashimi topped with caviar and extra pieces given by the chef! We've been to this restaurant several times, and the fish is always fresh and delicious. You can tell they care about quality and details. The dishes are tasty and the presentation is thoughtful without being overdone. The staff is friendly and very attentive with requests. Highly recommend!

Dined in on Friday night and heard the male host making inappropriate, uncomfortable comments to female waitresses. Halfway through dinner, we heard him saying a family “should have used protection instead of bringing their crying baby in a restaurant”. Made me very uncomfortable and ruined my whole dinner with his attitude, hope management can address this.
