I usually love the breakfast tacos from here. Today's lunch, though, was completely inedible. The tortillas were absolutely drenched in grease, making them some of the worst tacos I've had. I hope this can be fixed.

First of all the breakfast tacos are pretty good. They have really good prices and you tend to get a lot of food.
However, this place cannot seem to get our order correct. We have ordered from here 6 times now via GrubHub. We have gotten a correct order once. Today we got the complete wrong order and had to get a full refund. It wasn't even close. I hope they can get their stuff together because it seems like a good deal, but until then it's not worth wasting the time or money.
Update: This place messed up my order several more times since the original review. So much so that Grubhub now charges me a $6 fee if I want to order from here. Looks like I won't be ordering anymore.

I love this place! They have the best daily deals in town on their breakfast tacos! They are super generous with the fillings and the prices are incredible! The people that work the front counter are also very friendly and have such a welcoming attitude! The guy with the beard is a super nice guy and he greets me every time I go in to get my tacos! And the blonde lady that works with him, as well as the others always go out of their way to be very helpful and treat customers like old friends! They definitely know how to keep people coming back! Keep up the great work!

Extremely quick and friendly service and the cost and quality of the tacos is truly on brand with how wonderful HEB is for families.
Good tacos! They definitely are NOT stingy when it comes to the carne guisada compared to other tacos places. (Looking at you taco cabana). Well filled tacos, everything has flavor. A+

If you need a good classic taco to go on your way to work at a fair price, this is your place. The fillings are decent but the fresh HEB tortillas do most of the heavy lifting here to make the overall taco experience pretty great. There are obviously better tacos in the Austin area, but most of those better tacos are harder to get and/or more expensive. True Texas Tacos fulfills it particular role of getting quick good quality meals to people in a rush quite well.
