Me and my boyfriend went through the drive thru and got 2 burgers drinks and sides. The first bite my boyfriend takes he pulls a LONG NASTY HAIR out of his mouth ?? I called to let them know and all the wanted to do was refund the burger?? No one wants to eat NONE of your food after that. Definitely needs to be inspected ? disgusting place! disgusting people!! definitely do not recommend getting food from here. Also the lady’s attitude was disgusting!

I've lived in Idalou for 18 years now & have never been to Dixie dog. When I decided to go a couple of days ago, there was no one there except employees.I ordered a hamburger with mustard, mayo, lettuce, & pickles. When I got home & checked my order, the hamburger was fairly cold & had mustard, ketchup, & pickles. Was very disappointed because I've heard good things about their food.
I've went here at least twice a week for the past 2yrs and loved this place because the customer service was wonderful. Today I went and the gentleman was so rude. I will never return again. Yes that bad.

Stopped here in 2019 after stumbling across a review about the homemade corndogs. I had to verify the Dixie Dog was “the finest!” So traveling through here again, we brought the family for the experience. When you drive by, you might miss it because the building is old, the sign faded. The Dixie Dog still lives up to its reputation. Glad there are still small towns and old family owned drive in restaurants. Service friendly and prompt.
